[00:00:00] Speaker A: Welcome to the point after show Marshall Hesla. This is the show where the guys attempt to pick the winners of the weekly NFL games along with some healthy debate about the current topics. Let's go. [00:00:13] Speaker B: So who are you guys voting for on Tuesday? [00:00:15] Speaker C: Yeah. [00:00:16] Speaker D: Oh, whoever. I got these texts, all these texts that are really helpful. [00:00:20] Speaker C: Gosh, yeah. [00:00:21] Speaker D: So helpful. I'm so informed now because people have. [00:00:23] Speaker C: When I sending me unsolicited [00:00:25] Speaker D: text. [00:00:25] Speaker C: You want to know what the thing is? [00:00:26] Speaker B: Hold on. Ian's going to tell us. He's going before. Go ahead. [00:00:28] Speaker C: When I watch an ad, I'm like, you know what? You're right. I should vote for you based on this ad. [00:00:34] Speaker B: Then you see a different one for the other people, and [00:00:37] Speaker C: then I'm confused. I don't know who to vote for anymore. [00:00:40] Speaker D: Right. They just told me that the other guy is not [00:00:42] Speaker C: both so convincing. I [00:00:44] Speaker D: know. [00:00:45] Speaker B: How much money do you think they'd save if they didn't do the ads through the mail? Just the mail. [00:00:51] Speaker C: Oh, my gosh. [00:00:53] Speaker B: I get a lot of stuff in [00:00:54] Speaker C: the mail. So many. If I have to see another one of those, it'll be too soon. And you know what sucks? In two years, we're gonna do this all over again. [00:01:05] Speaker D: This is just our life, you guys. [00:01:07] Speaker C: I actually. Well, I don't know. I'm [00:01:10] Speaker B: excited about it for two years from now. [00:01:14] Speaker C: Let's not get political right now. I don't want to do that. [00:01:16] Speaker B: That's our question of the week. [00:01:18] Speaker C: What is [00:01:19] Speaker D: it? Really? [00:01:19] Speaker B: Yeah, I have it on the spreadsheet. You guys didn't see it? [00:01:22] Speaker D: Oh, my gosh. He's coming for us today, man. [00:01:25] Speaker C: He is, man. [00:01:26] Speaker D: What's the deal? [00:01:27] Speaker C: All right, [00:01:28] Speaker D: all right. [00:01:28] Speaker C: We are now no longer welcome to the [00:01:32] Speaker B: political after [00:01:34] Speaker C: the vote. After. [00:01:35] Speaker B: Kidding. I have a better question for you. [00:01:37] Speaker C: Yes, please. [00:01:38] Speaker B: What's like, your go to. I don't have any time to eat. I'm going to go eat some food. I need to slam, like, a quick meal. [00:01:46] Speaker D: Oh, yeah, [00:01:47] Speaker B: hit me with it. Like, the drive by meal is what I like to call. But you're at your house. [00:01:51] Speaker C: Oh, like, so I got to eat something quickly [00:01:53] Speaker B: at the house. You got like two minutes. [00:01:58] Speaker C: Two minutes. I [00:01:59] Speaker B: don't even make it three. [00:02:01] Speaker C: Three minutes. Because if it was like five minutes, I'd get. [00:02:04] Speaker B: Yeah, you could microwave something. I [00:02:05] Speaker C: could put like, a bagel in the toaster. [00:02:07] Speaker B: Yeah, [00:02:08] Speaker C: three [00:02:08] Speaker B: minutes. You [00:02:09] Speaker C: could [00:02:09] Speaker B: still bagel. Just not toaster. [00:02:12] Speaker C: That [00:02:13] Speaker B: bowl of cereal is a great answer. [00:02:14] Speaker D: It's [00:02:15] Speaker C: about as like much. You can do that. Are You a Wheaties [00:02:18] Speaker B: guy? [00:02:18] Speaker D: Do you think you can consume a whole two minute timer? [00:02:22] Speaker C: OK [00:02:25] Speaker D: folks, I think I'm convinced. He could do it if anyone can. [00:02:29] Speaker C: Frosted Mini Wheats are a go to for mine, so I wouldn't. Wheaties are good. [00:02:35] Speaker D: Sure. [00:02:35] Speaker C: Underrated. Okay. [00:02:36] Speaker B: They're okay. [00:02:37] Speaker C: I. I like Wheaties, [00:02:38] Speaker B: but that's not. [00:02:39] Speaker D: I would mess with cereal of choice. [00:02:41] Speaker C: My preferred would be I. So three minutes Frosted Mini Wheats is too much. I feel like that's too much like wheat. [00:02:51] Speaker D: What [00:02:51] Speaker B: about Cinnamon Toast Crunch? [00:02:53] Speaker C: Toast Crunch is good. [00:02:54] Speaker D: There we go. [00:02:54] Speaker C: I think. Or Reese's Puffs. See, one of our kids, one of our daughters, she's smart. She's convinced us of this. What? Reese's Puffs and Cinnamon Toast Crunch together. [00:03:09] Speaker D: Which one of them taught you that? Wow. [00:03:11] Speaker C: I don't know who? You don't know [00:03:13] Speaker B: which daughter? [00:03:14] Speaker C: I do. She is. It was the youngest one. [00:03:16] Speaker B: Oh, [00:03:17] Speaker D: okay. [00:03:18] Speaker B: Don't want to throw names out there right now. I got. [00:03:22] Speaker D: Do you have an answer to the question measure like your go to. Did [00:03:25] Speaker B: you just call me Marshall or. [00:03:27] Speaker D: You don't need to every time. You don't need to every time. It's not necessary. [00:03:31] Speaker B: I'm your podcast co host and you called me. Do [00:03:35] Speaker D: you have an answer to question Marshall? [00:03:38] Speaker B: Yes, thank you. I'm just strictly a sandwich guy. Like I'm putting sandwich. Some kind of deli meat on a sandwich. [00:03:44] Speaker D: Okay. [00:03:44] Speaker B: I'm pushing down on the sandwich. [00:03:46] Speaker C: He loves his meat [00:03:47] Speaker B: firm. [00:03:47] Speaker D: Love that. [00:03:48] Speaker C: He loves it firm. [00:03:49] Speaker D: Yeah. Press down hard. Did [00:03:53] Speaker C: you put mayo on there? [00:03:55] Speaker B: Not when it's quick. I'm just a quick sandwich kind of guy. [00:04:01] Speaker D: Yeah, yeah, yeah. Like it's got to go and it can be on the. [00:04:04] Speaker B: It can be on the go. Like you could eat in the car. [00:04:07] Speaker D: Do you guys do the Miracle Whip thing? Is that still a thing? [00:04:09] Speaker C: Miracle Whip. What's [00:04:10] Speaker B: the difference in Miracle Whip? Mayonnaise? [00:04:13] Speaker D: Don't ask me that. [00:04:14] Speaker B: Sorry. I don't [00:04:15] Speaker D: think I supposed to know. But I don't. [00:04:17] Speaker B: I don't think I've ever had Miracle Whip. I've only had mayonnaise. [00:04:19] Speaker C: I. That's [00:04:20] Speaker D: crazy. [00:04:20] Speaker C: I'll do. What is that? Hyman's? [00:04:22] Speaker D: Hellman? [00:04:23] Speaker C: Hellman's. [00:04:24] Speaker D: Yeah. [00:04:24] Speaker C: I never look at the name. I'll be honest. I just kind of [00:04:27] Speaker D: like that's why it's still a thing. Because I feel like when we were young Miracle Whip was a big thing. Maybe it's not anymore. [00:04:33] Speaker B: It's pronounced miracle hip. [00:04:36] Speaker D: Okay. Anyway, [00:04:37] Speaker B: what's your answer? [00:04:38] Speaker D: You make A sandwich. [00:04:39] Speaker B: The re. Yeah. Just to say whatever meat is in there. [00:04:42] Speaker D: Yeah. [00:04:42] Speaker B: Don't look. Judge [00:04:43] Speaker D: classic. [00:04:44] Speaker B: For those of you that don't know and are obviously not in this podcast watching us. [00:04:49] Speaker D: Kyle, you going to say what are you going to come? [00:04:51] Speaker B: Kyle shoved two hard boiled eggs down his gullet. [00:04:55] Speaker D: I didn't have time for dinner today. [00:04:57] Speaker C: Is. Is the hard boiled egg your answer? [00:05:00] Speaker B: Can you [00:05:00] Speaker D: sing song that like. It's a fine answer to the question. Hard boiled egg is like. It's great. That's excellent nourishment. It's very quick. So I would take that if those were available. But what, you know, my version of this quit is like that I would throw maybe back at you. Ian is the dad dinner. And so every time I have to feed the kids and my wife is not around, I've got to come up with a dinner. It is incredibly different. Very, very different from what my wife will prepare for the kids. And so when it's dad dinner, we're talking, it looks entirely different. Sometimes it'll be just like on the wilder days, it might just be like food poured on the table. Basically just like animalistic. Just. Just [00:05:46] Speaker B: a bowl of craft macaroni and cheese just boiled literally on top of the table. [00:05:50] Speaker D: Okay, okay. I. I am known for putting things in, like a communal plate and just say, just grab it's from this stack of sandwich wedges or just grab from this pile of mixed fruit and crackers and just reach in. We don't need to dirty a bunch more dishes. I've got enough going on when I'm doing this alone. [00:06:14] Speaker B: Oh, you make me smile. [00:06:15] Speaker D: I might make quesadillas or grilled cheese if I'm getting. Ooh. I do like a good quesadilla. [00:06:18] Speaker C: Quesadillas. There's [00:06:19] Speaker D: certain things where they'll request. They get excited about it ironically. [00:06:22] Speaker C: I love a good quasadilla. You [00:06:24] Speaker B: know what I hear your kids really like in your household is the fajita. You make fajitas? [00:06:29] Speaker D: Fajitas are really good fajitas are everybody, [00:06:31] Speaker C: hot dogs. Hot dogs are the current popular item in our house right now. [00:06:35] Speaker D: Is that so? [00:06:36] Speaker C: Yeah, we can't get away from them. [00:06:38] Speaker D: Can't [00:06:38] Speaker B: get away from them. [00:06:39] Speaker D: So you guys [00:06:40] Speaker B: that popular? [00:06:40] Speaker D: Are you doing classic franks? [00:06:42] Speaker C: I don't know what Claire does, but she needs to stop. [00:06:45] Speaker D: Do you guys boil them? Do you mash? [00:06:48] Speaker C: No. There's like a broiler. [00:06:50] Speaker B: Oh, you have a broiler? [00:06:51] Speaker D: Oh, in the oven? [00:06:52] Speaker C: Yeah. [00:06:53] Speaker D: Oh, no kidding. Wow. Okay. You broil. I'm [00:06:55] Speaker B: a Stove top, put in the boiling. [00:06:57] Speaker C: I broil or not broil. Boil. That's disgusting. You give me a hot dog that's boiled, I'm gonna throw it in your face. [00:07:06] Speaker D: That is aggressive. [00:07:08] Speaker C: That's disgusting. [00:07:09] Speaker D: Dang. [00:07:10] Speaker C: I just. [00:07:11] Speaker D: It's not that bad. Come on. [00:07:12] Speaker C: Awful. [00:07:13] Speaker D: We had some just on Halloween night after trick or treating. We had boiled hot dogs, but we also put, like, chili sauce on it, so. Chili dogs. My sister even made a [00:07:21] Speaker C: whole lot of chili dog. Is the chili sauce is the redeeming quality here? [00:07:25] Speaker D: Yes, it's great. [00:07:26] Speaker C: But then you're gonna. The puke afterwards. [00:07:31] Speaker D: It's [00:07:31] Speaker C: really [00:07:32] Speaker D: that bad. [00:07:33] Speaker C: Hate boiled hot dogs. To [00:07:34] Speaker D: me, it's like a very marginal difference, like fire [00:07:37] Speaker C: rice. The water. [00:07:40] Speaker D: You can taste the water. [00:07:42] Speaker C: Hot dog, boiled water. [00:07:44] Speaker D: Oh, that's. That's a Limp Bizkit album, isn't it? [00:07:47] Speaker C: Yeah. [00:07:48] Speaker D: Hot dog flavored water was like a part of an album. Limp Biscuit. Come on, you guys. [00:07:53] Speaker B: Thank you. [00:07:53] Speaker C: I didn't listen to a little bit. [00:07:54] Speaker D: You were not into Limp Bizkit. [00:07:56] Speaker C: I mean, I knew who they were. [00:07:57] Speaker B: You didn't ever butter your biscuit. [00:07:59] Speaker D: Come on. I don't expect Marshall to know, but I guess I thought you would have. [00:08:03] Speaker C: I was. I. I did it way more for [00:08:08] Speaker D: the noogie man, [00:08:09] Speaker C: into the punk rock more than, like, the alternative, like, rock. [00:08:14] Speaker D: System of a Down. [00:08:15] Speaker B: Ah, rock rock. [00:08:15] Speaker C: I. I mean, I know System of Down. [00:08:20] Speaker D: Oh, that's [00:08:21] Speaker C: who that is. You want to do. [00:08:22] Speaker D: Yeah. Anyway, [00:08:23] Speaker B: I have done in the Hallways. Wake Up. [00:08:27] Speaker C: That's a great song. [00:08:28] Speaker D: That was great. [00:08:28] Speaker C: There's a couple System of the down songs that you have an answer, [00:08:31] Speaker B: Kyle? [00:08:31] Speaker D: Dude, I love their whole [00:08:33] Speaker C: Toxicity. [00:08:33] Speaker D: Oh, my gosh. That [00:08:34] Speaker C: was a great. I remember that. [00:08:36] Speaker D: When that comes on, I crank. I blow [00:08:38] Speaker C: my [00:08:38] Speaker D: stickers out. You know, the drum. Oh, man, I will. [00:08:41] Speaker C: That was. I remember watching before going to school, we would put, like, VH1, would do music videos [00:08:49] Speaker B: top 10, [00:08:50] Speaker C: and they would just, like, play music videos for like an hour or two in the morning, and we would put that on, and there was a season where System of A Down Toxicity had, like, just come out, and it was all over the place. [00:09:00] Speaker D: Dude, [00:09:00] Speaker C: I watched that video. All this [00:09:02] Speaker B: is a real band. [00:09:04] Speaker C: System of a Down. [00:09:06] Speaker D: Jeez Louise. Yeah, let's. [00:09:10] Speaker C: I guess we can start talking. [00:09:12] Speaker D: Speaking of salty, you had [00:09:13] Speaker B: those eggs. [00:09:14] Speaker D: Yeah, Just like [00:09:15] Speaker B: those eggs in front of two people privately before a podcast. And I was kind of [00:09:20] Speaker C: astounded. Like, it was such an awkward moment. It really wasn't to me. It [00:09:23] Speaker B: was, [00:09:24] Speaker C: you're making it weird, [00:09:26] Speaker D: right? [00:09:27] Speaker B: So what's your answer? [00:09:28] Speaker D: I will ingest anything to get calories sometimes. Especially during, like, the young childhood years, like, when things are crazy and I'm just like, I need some calories. I don't care what this is. There's not a lot of. There's no judicious consideration. You're [00:09:43] Speaker C: like chicken and rice kind of guy. [00:09:46] Speaker D: I know. I will just. I'll just grab and. Chicken [00:09:50] Speaker B: and rice is way above his standard right now, is what he's telling you. [00:09:53] Speaker D: I'm saying just whatever is there, which is usually not very. You [00:09:56] Speaker B: see it [00:09:57] Speaker C: image of you going into the kitchen, [00:10:06] Speaker B: Then all of a sudden, the music from Tarzan pops on. Shab it up. [00:10:11] Speaker D: Do you guys remember? I don't know. Like, I have vivid memories of being a. A teenage boy and being just ravenously hungry all the time. Just like an insatiable. [00:10:19] Speaker B: I've seen you eat Oreos. It's literally every episode of the podcast we've ever done. I mean, you eating Oreos. When [00:10:24] Speaker D: I was young, I had a lot of. We were big families. Seven of us came kid. So [00:10:28] Speaker C: you were that kid? Just Mom Meloaf. Mom [00:10:33] Speaker D: Meloaf is a special occasion meal, actually. A lot of mashed potatoes and just, like, anyway, but just always hungry. I would be sneaking into the pantry and just, like, scarfing down packets of saltine crackers or just, like, scooping peanut butter out of the jar or something like that, or going into the freezer in the basement and just, like, eating frozen things out of the. Out of the bag just out of pure hunger. Like, that was when, like, we would get an entire pizza for me, an entire pizza for my brother, and, you know, a couple for the rest of the family. Like, that's what it was like to be a teenage boy. Now I've got three boys who are a few years away. I'm saving up right now. [00:11:18] Speaker C: Impressed with. You are committed to getting that train of thought through to the end. [00:11:25] Speaker D: Okay. This is [00:11:27] Speaker B: my first podcast with you schmucks. [00:11:29] Speaker C: I ignore everything that you guys. [00:11:32] Speaker D: But the listeners. The listeners were eating up everything. I said, [00:11:36] Speaker C: yeah. They're. [00:11:37] Speaker D: Yeah. [00:11:37] Speaker C: Is this a football pot? I don't even know anymore. I [00:11:40] Speaker B: can't believe I called a priest a schmuck. And then like an hour later, someone was like, that's not a good thing to say to somebody. I'm like, what do you mean? I call people out all [00:11:45] Speaker C: the time. [00:11:47] Speaker D: I'll [00:11:47] Speaker B: tell you about it off the pod. All right, [00:11:49] Speaker C: guys, that's some tea. That's the [00:11:52] Speaker B: teas that we. [00:11:54] Speaker C: That's the T after guys right there. [00:11:55] Speaker B: Wow. Thank you for. If you subscribe to our Patreon. [00:12:00] Speaker D: Yep. [00:12:01] Speaker C: Yeah. [00:12:01] Speaker B: Patreon.com Is Ian still singing? You can hear us. All right. [00:12:07] Speaker D: I have an uncensored version. [00:12:09] Speaker B: The reason that I really wanted to ask it because I wanted somebody in here to say pie. Like some. I think that's something you would say. Like just a random. Wow. Thank you. I'm. Let's have pie. Tep be okay. Because we have to create a pie chart here. Our first listener comes in. [00:12:29] Speaker D: This was a great. You're sitting there hoping for the answer that [00:12:34] Speaker C: you need to set up. [00:12:36] Speaker B: Somebody wrote in [00:12:39] Speaker C: try to divert us into Thanksgiving and pie. Right. [00:12:42] Speaker D: That was your question. [00:12:44] Speaker B: There's plenty of blame to go around for the 07 Chargers. Give a percentage for the blame between these four people. Justin Herbert, Jim Harbaugh, Mike McDaniel in the GM for giving the team very few weapons. [00:12:59] Speaker D: 25 each. 25 each? [00:13:01] Speaker B: Really? That's it that you're. That's an awful answer. It's [00:13:05] Speaker D: a great answer. [00:13:05] Speaker C: We'll add on to this because Mr. Tim DeWitt also asked about the Chargers and he claims. He claims, great coach, great oc, great quarterback. They suck. [00:13:19] Speaker D: Right. [00:13:20] Speaker C: So it's got to be somebody. Do you think it's a collective? [00:13:24] Speaker B: Actually, I think it's nobody. [00:13:26] Speaker C: You don't think it's. [00:13:26] Speaker B: The more I think about it, the way Tim put it, I think it's nobody. [00:13:30] Speaker C: We've been convinced. They're just [00:13:32] Speaker D: interesting. [00:13:33] Speaker C: It's a schedule thing. [00:13:35] Speaker D: It's just seven straight, any given Sundays. [00:13:38] Speaker C: I feel like you're about to pull out some stats. That's [00:13:40] Speaker D: not great. [00:13:41] Speaker B: Don't have any stats today. Just laid off the stats. [00:13:43] Speaker C: This is just your feeling. [00:13:45] Speaker B: I'm strictly doing an Ian at any given Sunday. I live my life by one phrase. [00:13:51] Speaker C: Quarter mile out of 10 [00:13:53] Speaker B: defense wins championships. They got a bad defense. Offensive line hasn't been great. You know, you gotta be able to block. [00:14:00] Speaker C: They. They have had [00:14:01] Speaker D: some tough schedule. [00:14:04] Speaker C: This is probably a combination. Definitely. [00:14:06] Speaker B: That's an Ian point right there. Schedule, [00:14:08] Speaker D: schedule, schedule. [00:14:09] Speaker B: Yeah, [00:14:10] Speaker D: we [00:14:11] Speaker B: got to talk about their schedule before the game [00:14:12] Speaker C: happen. Hey, it's a real thing if you gotta play. No, look at the. [00:14:20] Speaker B: Oh, boy. He's about to get mad. [00:14:21] Speaker C: No, I'm not gonna get mad. We're not doubting. I'm not getting mad. You want to get me right up that. The. The scheduling can be. We [00:14:32] Speaker D: know. [00:14:32] Speaker C: Just like. [00:14:33] Speaker D: Yeah. [00:14:33] Speaker C: Enlightening. [00:14:34] Speaker B: Wait, you're being serious. [00:14:36] Speaker C: I mean, it's like enlightening because look at the juxtaposition. [00:14:40] Speaker D: Big word. I love it. [00:14:41] Speaker C: To [00:14:42] Speaker B: juxt it. [00:14:43] Speaker C: What is essentially the opposite of what the Chargers have been, which was at least at one point, the Vikings being undefeated. [00:14:52] Speaker D: Right. [00:14:53] Speaker C: Who did they win? Who did they beat [00:14:56] Speaker B: against [00:14:57] Speaker D: what? Who are you talking about? [00:14:58] Speaker C: The Vikings. Who did they beat? [00:15:00] Speaker D: Oh, wait, are we. [00:15:04] Speaker C: I'm agreeing that the. I'm agreeing that the Vikings defense is incredible, but they got to 6, 0 and everybody continued to have question marks about them. And if you. This is about the schedule, where it does have. It's an indicator more than anything else. I wouldn't say it's the end all be all right, but when you look at it, it can tell you a story of like. All right. Well, I look at the Vikings in their first real game that they lost was against a 500 team. And who did. Okay, so what was going on before that? Well, they beat the Colts 10 to 16. So the Colts are terrible. They're literally selling off everything over there. The week before that, the Vikings beat. Are [00:15:55] Speaker B: we gonna do week by week? [00:15:56] Speaker C: Nobody. Because they run a buy. [00:16:00] Speaker B: That's how. [00:16:00] Speaker C: Then they beat the Saints. [00:16:02] Speaker B: I wasn't being serious. I mean, do week by [00:16:04] Speaker C: week. It's too late. I [00:16:05] Speaker B: get. [00:16:06] Speaker C: It's too late. The Saints, they beat them. They're below 500. They beat the dolphins below 500. I mean, look at the. These are the teams that the Vikings have gone on a tear about. The. The Bucks, who. Who did not have Baker at the time, I believe, because that was week three and he was out pretty early. [00:16:25] Speaker D: Yeah. [00:16:25] Speaker B: Could you give me your pie chart? [00:16:27] Speaker C: They did beat the Bears, but. [00:16:30] Speaker D: Yes, the Bears and the Packers. [00:16:32] Speaker C: But Caleb Williams was gone. [00:16:34] Speaker D: Yeah. [00:16:35] Speaker C: For that game. My only point is that. And then you look at the Chargers, which I won't do. [00:16:39] Speaker B: The Chargers. He wasn't out for the whole game, but. Yeah, [00:16:41] Speaker C: he wasn't out for the whole game. Correct. [00:16:43] Speaker B: He's on the fourth quarter. [00:16:45] Speaker C: I'm just saying the scheduling is enlightening. It's not the end of it. [00:16:51] Speaker B: Let's hold the Vikings because we do [00:16:52] Speaker C: have [00:16:53] Speaker B: a Vikings part that goes to it. [00:16:54] Speaker C: So if I have to go to the Chargers. [00:16:56] Speaker B: Yeah. Pie chart. [00:16:57] Speaker C: The biggest blame. There is one factor that was not there last year that is there this year. And unfortunately, as much As I like McDaniels, I would say McDaniels is, I think, the one factor that's coming in this year. And immediately that offense is terrible. [00:17:14] Speaker D: Right. [00:17:14] Speaker C: They're really bad. And I don't know if it's McDaniel's vision for what he believes that offense should look like is not matching up with the skill set of Herbert and they just aren't matching. Well, I've read a bunch of stuff that says like what McDaniels wants to do is not what Herbert's good at and things like that. And that's why they're floundering. At the end of the day you could, I mean people could argue, you know, Harbaugh is the head coach though. But [00:17:44] Speaker B: that is where my blame will go. My blame will go to Harbaugh. He answers zero questions at a press conference. He has no answers for media. Probably it alone his team and he is the head coach. It should fall on him. [00:18:01] Speaker D: Yeah. [00:18:02] Speaker B: And it's going to be McDaniel who gets fired first because that's the way things work in the NFL. Justin, it should has been playing so bad. [00:18:10] Speaker D: So bad. That's what this is so vexing about. This is because this is such a dramatic departure for all parties from the historical precedent. Like because all of these are people that have been in the NFL for a while now and have a lot of track record. And what we've seen from Justin Herbert and Herbert in the past, like there have been occasions where he was one of looking like one of the better quarterbacks in the league with highly efficient, great touchdown to interception ratio etc looked like, you know, if this guy maybe had a little better crew around him that would be the difference maker. Plus the Chargers defense was like amazing in some recent years. [00:18:47] Speaker B: Are we ready to do Herbert TUA rediscussion again? [00:18:51] Speaker D: We could bring that back up because this is, this is crazy. He's got five touchdowns to 10 interceptions. By far the worst of any quarterback in the league. That's insane. There's only one other quarterback with like more than 100 attempts who has more picks than touchdowns and that's Daniel Jones. And Herbert is worse with a 69 passer rating on the season. It's just abysmal. I don't care who your OC is. Like if you're a talented quarterback. There's, there's quarterbacks on here who are like backups that we would never even consider. Like legitimate starter like Gardiner [00:19:24] Speaker B: Minshew who won a game yesterday in the [00:19:26] Speaker D: NFL performing much better, much better than this. This is just absurd. Truly like bad quarterbacks who don't really shouldn't be a first string on any team are performing better than this guy. [00:19:42] Speaker C: The biggest I'm I'm now, like, after listening everything, I feel like I've convinced myself that Harbaugh is probably the biggest problem. So he probably gets the biggest percentage. Because I think Marshall's right. He hasn't changed anything. They're owing 7 right now. Right. They haven't done anything differently, and they are staying the course. You do not get the privilege of standing up in front of a room of people asking, like, what do we do? Or what do you do? And he's like. Or what do you say to your team? He's like, I don't know. [00:20:16] Speaker B: Just. I just can't listen to it. For a coach that definitely throws out [00:20:20] Speaker C: in the beginning of the year, I mean, [00:20:23] Speaker B: any difference when he speaks every single time? [00:20:25] Speaker C: And I like Harbaugh and I like McDaniels, but I think the coaching staff probably takes a bigger chunk of the blame before you go to Herbert. [00:20:36] Speaker D: Right? [00:20:36] Speaker B: Okay, let's pivot to the Minnesota Vikings. Justin Matson writes, we would win the game if J.J. was our quarterback. [00:20:46] Speaker C: Oh, my. [00:20:47] Speaker D: Just hold on. [00:20:48] Speaker C: Let [00:20:48] Speaker B: me. Let me. [00:20:49] Speaker D: Why do we have to do this? [00:20:51] Speaker B: Justin Matson writes in, and I quote, the Vikings need to go all in on a quarterback. They are a quarterback away team. And if they don't do it this year, they will never. And I'm wasting my life loving a team that refuses to love me back. [00:21:08] Speaker D: All right. [00:21:09] Speaker C: Can you relate to [00:21:10] Speaker B: not having love back from your team in. [00:21:13] Speaker D: Of course, most fans. I [00:21:15] Speaker B: was asking somebody who's a fan of a team, not teams. [00:21:20] Speaker C: I mean, [00:21:21] Speaker B: I'm kidding, kidding. [00:21:24] Speaker C: Here's one thing that I will say about the Vikings is that [00:21:29] Speaker B: eat your egg. [00:21:30] Speaker C: When their offense was on the field, at no point did I ever feel threatened. [00:21:35] Speaker B: You weren't scared with the Lions defense. You weren't scared at all with Jetta in the background. [00:21:40] Speaker C: Kyler Murray is that bad. [00:21:43] Speaker B: What about that one deep pass to Addison, though, After that, where you like? He actually does have that [00:21:48] Speaker C: in his [00:21:48] Speaker B: arsenal, [00:21:49] Speaker C: but I don't know why. There just was never. They never showed anything offensively that was scary outside of just, like, player talent. [00:22:01] Speaker D: Yeah, [00:22:01] Speaker C: And I think that's the problem is, like, their player talent is high, but that is not translating to points. Right now [00:22:11] Speaker B: there's a handful of teams that I think could fit that criteria. [00:22:15] Speaker C: And it's really because I've never seen. I mean, I'm sure we have seen a team where the coordinator is getting way more credit for team success than the coach, but, I mean, it's pretty apparent that it feels like the only Thing that's dragging this team to a winning record right now is Brian Flores's defense. [00:22:38] Speaker B: Yeah. I mean, every. Every week I hear Justin Matson sharing this with me, and it's hard. It's hard. Like [00:22:45] Speaker D: Justin, [00:22:46] Speaker B: and this is after wins. I got to give him credit. This isn't just after losses. Like, this is a consistent take from him. So as somebody who is like a tortured Notre Dame fan, that feels like every time a big game happens, we lose on calling a bubble screen and fourth and one. Like, I understand. Trust me, it [00:23:06] Speaker C: does. Your [00:23:06] Speaker B: team does the same thing to you over and over. It's hard to keep putting your, you know, hand out there and not expect to get slapped. [00:23:14] Speaker C: It does feel curious that sometimes teams do this thing where they hold on to a quarterback for way too long. Like they, they ride it out hoping that, oh, if we get a new coordinator, we get a new coach, we just change the things around him. This guy's gonna. [00:23:34] Speaker D: But they don't do that. They put in new quarterbacks. [00:23:36] Speaker C: Right. And I'm saying they're doing the opposite. They're going like every other year, they're ditching their quarterback. [00:23:43] Speaker D: Right. [00:23:44] Speaker C: You know, they get rid of Cousins, who they don't believe is going to take them to the promised land [00:23:50] Speaker D: in retrospect. And [00:23:52] Speaker C: yeah, it's like, don't you wish you could [00:23:54] Speaker D: go back to the Cousins era? He's Justin. Don't you wish you could go back then? Those are good years. Those were actually good years. [00:24:01] Speaker C: Who's leading the league in past touchdowns right now? [00:24:05] Speaker D: Joe Burrow. But Kurtzo Chains is. Is right behind it. [00:24:09] Speaker C: I thought I read [00:24:10] Speaker D: Kirk is second. Kirk is second. [00:24:12] Speaker C: I thought I had read that he was leading something, but maybe that was before. I get that backfired hard. [00:24:16] Speaker D: No, no, no. [00:24:18] Speaker C: He's Quite High, though. [00:24:19] Speaker D: 19 touchdowns on the season. [00:24:22] Speaker C: Third [00:24:22] Speaker D: most passing yards in the league. He's having a fantastic year, [00:24:26] Speaker C: doing great. It's [00:24:27] Speaker D: honestly a career year for him. I [00:24:29] Speaker B: know. [00:24:29] Speaker C: What are you gonna do? And then [00:24:33] Speaker D: I honestly think Kirk Cousins will go down as one of the most peculiar, interesting NFL careers. [00:24:38] Speaker B: Definitely the richest. [00:24:40] Speaker D: Definitely. In terms of money, in terms of the bag. He's. He's an on the Mount Rushmore. But overall, just like his career is. I [00:24:46] Speaker B: think it's named Rushmore. [00:24:47] Speaker C: He's one of these quarterbacks. [00:24:49] Speaker D: One of one. It's so rare. [00:24:50] Speaker B: Mount Kirkmore. [00:24:50] Speaker C: Well, they look, you look at him and everybody, it's like you're clearly an NFL caliber quarterback. I don't think anybody's doubting that, but are you. No one apparently believes they're going to take him, they're going to win a Super bowl with him, but they believe he can help turn your franchise around. [00:25:09] Speaker D: Right, Right. [00:25:10] Speaker C: I'm sorry. If you can win a Super bowl with, like, Sam Darnold, I think you can win with Cousins. [00:25:15] Speaker B: We have a listener that wrote in about turning things around. Caleb Wilson, new listener to the pod, writes in. Please, God, let the Democrat. Oh, sorry, that's a different one. Bill Belichick has split with his girlfriend, who definitely wasn't in it for the money. Your thoughts? Question mark. [00:25:34] Speaker D: Pass. [00:25:37] Speaker B: You don't want to talk about Jordan. [00:25:38] Speaker C: I don't really care. [00:25:40] Speaker B: I think that it was necessary that they split up Caleb. And I think that if you want to listen to our podcast, you got to give us a little spicier. You [00:25:48] Speaker C: know, what is being missed here, though? [00:25:50] Speaker B: Oh, you do want to talk about this. [00:25:52] Speaker C: You want to know what's being missed? [00:25:54] Speaker D: Enlighteness [00:25:55] Speaker C: kicks. [00:25:58] Speaker B: Explain, [00:26:01] Speaker D: Marsh. This. This. Actually, Marshall does want to pivot to. For sure. [00:26:04] Speaker C: I'm pivoting away from Bill Belichick. Tim DeWitt writes in. [00:26:08] Speaker B: Oh, [00:26:09] Speaker C: what's going on with the kickers? [00:26:11] Speaker B: Oh, a [00:26:11] Speaker C: lot of doinks. [00:26:12] Speaker B: Kicker [00:26:13] Speaker C: points. Tucker's back. Tucker's [00:26:17] Speaker D: back. Yeah, yeah, Jack is back. He's on the practice squad for the Chiefs. [00:26:23] Speaker B: Yeah, I mean, he went in and did [00:26:25] Speaker C: literally [00:26:25] Speaker B: 30 for 30 on his kicks. They're like, we gotta sign him, guys. [00:26:29] Speaker C: Do you think [00:26:30] Speaker B: he's like, I'm gonna leave. No doubt. I might have had 18. Half of a Desean Watson amount of [00:26:37] Speaker D: sexual [00:26:38] Speaker B: misconduct allegations. But [00:26:40] Speaker C: you know what? 30 for 30. [00:26:41] Speaker B: But the Chiefs are like that. They've been known for that. They drafted Tyree Kill. They're potentially bringing Tyree Kill back. [00:26:46] Speaker D: The Kareem Hunt stuff. And yeah, there's been a. There's a long, long history, [00:26:51] Speaker C: right? And they bringing him in there and Andy Reid and then just [00:26:54] Speaker B: trot. Andy Reid out there wiggling his finger at donuts, going, I like cheeseburgers. [00:27:01] Speaker D: Yeah, yeah, yeah. [00:27:02] Speaker C: That facade only goes for so long before people are going to be like, you can't just be the jolly Kool Aid man up there when you sign that guy. [00:27:11] Speaker B: I don't know. Dallas Cowboys have been doing it for years. I mean, the Cowboys had, like, literally, they called it the White House, where they would all do cocaine and have strippers at. And then. [00:27:23] Speaker C: Right. And no one likes Jerry Jones as a result. [00:27:25] Speaker B: And Jerry Jones is still an owner and still signed Tyron Smith, who was Four days before the draft. [00:27:31] Speaker C: Because at least he can run a professional organization compared to Dan Snyder. [00:27:35] Speaker B: Can he, though? [00:27:36] Speaker D: Snider? [00:27:37] Speaker C: He's not having those kinds of allegations. [00:27:41] Speaker B: It's a very low bar to say. [00:27:42] Speaker C: Well, but I'm saying, like you, you're. [00:27:45] Speaker B: He's taking [00:27:45] Speaker C: guys that are [00:27:46] Speaker B: throwing women on top of beds of guns. [00:27:49] Speaker C: And here's the problem, though. Here's the problem. [00:27:52] Speaker D: Starting to lose your point. [00:27:53] Speaker B: Here's the problem. [00:27:54] Speaker D: Okay. [00:27:55] Speaker C: It's every single team. I mean, the packers just sold their soul to Josh Jacobs, but [00:28:02] Speaker B: their owners suck. [00:28:05] Speaker D: Okay, [00:28:05] Speaker C: but you understand my point is every single team, without a doubt, will sign these guys as long as they are good at the game. And it's when they're bad that the noise gets loud. [00:28:23] Speaker D: Right. [00:28:24] Speaker C: People forget. People forgot about Ben Roethlisberger eventually, after winning a couple Super Bowls, all that noise faded away. [00:28:32] Speaker D: Right. [00:28:33] Speaker C: It's just. It's time. You're kind of seeing it with desean Watson. People are trying to have the noise still be out there. But eventually, if he keeps performing well, if they keep winning, if they win that division, which is not unlikely, people might start forgetting because the media certainly is. They're not talking about it anymore. [00:28:57] Speaker D: No, no, they're not going to. [00:28:59] Speaker C: So I. I don't know. Until the owners decide that they don't want this stigma, they're not going to do anything. [00:29:10] Speaker D: When are they going to do that? These are not moral people. [00:29:13] Speaker C: The only thing that these are people who [00:29:15] Speaker D: don't have souls [00:29:16] Speaker C: is slap a logo on the field and call it good. [00:29:20] Speaker B: What if they think about putting it [00:29:21] Speaker C: takes all [00:29:22] Speaker B: in the back with end racism? [00:29:24] Speaker C: We're in this together. [00:29:27] Speaker B: Could be helpful. They could solve it by putting it in the end zone [00:29:32] Speaker C: we love. [00:29:33] Speaker B: I think you guys are giving enough credit. [00:29:36] Speaker C: I'm just saying it's [00:29:38] Speaker D: not going to come from the owners. [00:29:39] Speaker C: Yeah. That's not going to change anything. [00:29:41] Speaker D: They're evil people. [00:29:42] Speaker C: Nothing is going to change. The only thing that will literally change the owner's mind. Mind on any of these guys is if people stop paying to go and watch their team and they start losing money and then they have like a collective stand. But that's the problem is people aren't doing that. Sure. [00:30:02] Speaker D: Yeah. And [00:30:03] Speaker B: I don't think it's happening anytime soon. [00:30:04] Speaker C: It's not going to. People are going to. Still. People are still selling out Browns games even with DeSean Watson being trotted out there. [00:30:11] Speaker B: Gosh, how great would it be for Jimmy Haslam to have to pay desean again? [00:30:16] Speaker C: And here's the thing. Here's the thing. All those guys, all those fans that go to that game, paid that ticket, show up, and then boo. No one cares. You're booing. Why? The Brown organization doesn't care that you're booing that man on the field. Because guess what? They already got your money. [00:30:37] Speaker D: Yeah. [00:30:38] Speaker B: On a lighter topic, Jamie Hussle all writes in. Who would be the best in the NFL at a haunted house? [00:30:45] Speaker C: The Browns would be scary to walk through. Actually, currently, probably Chiefs. [00:30:52] Speaker D: Yeah. Yeah. There's got to be a good answer. [00:30:55] Speaker C: All right. If we take all that. Scary. If we take all of that aside, all that crap and, like, just from a thematic perspective. [00:31:02] Speaker B: Yeah. Get thematical up in here. [00:31:04] Speaker C: The Raiders. [00:31:06] Speaker D: Okay. [00:31:07] Speaker B: Like, as a pirate or. [00:31:09] Speaker C: No, like, they're. They got that whole section of the end zone. What do they call that again? Like, the. Oh, [00:31:15] Speaker B: you're talking about their fans. [00:31:16] Speaker C: Well, yeah, like, their fans. You go into the stadium, you're in Vegas. So it's gonna be crazy over there. I [00:31:21] Speaker B: meant NFL players, I think, potentially. But [00:31:24] Speaker C: Crosby's over there. I still feel like. Yeah, yeah. Kirko chains is terrifying. [00:31:30] Speaker B: I did see a graphic of, like, Happy Halloween. As, like, all. Every. Every team got to pick, like, a person from their team, and they animated. Like, them in a Halloween costume and almost as like, a Charlie Brown. [00:31:42] Speaker D: Okay. [00:31:43] Speaker B: It was Kurgo chains with no shirt on with the chain. It's like everyone else is like a zombie, and then it's just Kirk Cousins shirtless. [00:31:51] Speaker D: Yep. Yep. [00:31:52] Speaker B: So my answer is Kaleus Campbell, who does sound like a haunted, scary monster. Okay, for those of you that haven't listened, this is where you pause and search Caleus Campbell's voice. [00:32:01] Speaker D: Okay. [00:32:01] Speaker B: On YouTube. And he just sounds like this. [00:32:06] Speaker D: Oh, wow. [00:32:07] Speaker B: Scary scares. Like, he has, like, a friendly monster, though. Like, that voice. [00:32:12] Speaker D: Yeah, Like a Monster's Inc. Kind of monster. [00:32:14] Speaker B: Yeah. Besides that, I'm going with the easy answer. Aaron Donald. Dude just scares me. [00:32:19] Speaker D: Yeah. [00:32:20] Speaker B: I don't care that he's retired and then came back and hasn't done anything since. Like, he just scares me. [00:32:26] Speaker C: We were just. Or James Harrison. [00:32:27] Speaker B: James Harrison. James Harrison. [00:32:29] Speaker D: Okay, [00:32:29] Speaker B: that's my answer. I'm sorry. Change [00:32:30] Speaker D: it. That's actually James Harrison. I think Aaron Donald has a friendlier face. [00:32:34] Speaker B: Yes, he [00:32:35] Speaker C: is [00:32:36] Speaker B: the veneers. [00:32:37] Speaker D: Right, right, right. [00:32:38] Speaker B: They really bring it in. [00:32:39] Speaker C: The veneers. [00:32:41] Speaker B: Is it a different way to say it? [00:32:42] Speaker C: I think it's veneers, but I. [00:32:44] Speaker B: Listen, Varel, don't tell me how to pronounce words. [00:32:47] Speaker C: That was Harsh. That felt rude. I'm not taking personal you as a human being. [00:32:53] Speaker B: That's how today has been. Ian, [00:32:55] Speaker C: he's been really mean to me today. [00:32:57] Speaker D: Kind of. He's coming for you. [00:32:58] Speaker C: He has. I haven't insulted him. Do you have an answer for [00:33:01] Speaker B: scary person? Or maybe you can even take it? Like, which person would you say would survive the haunted house? [00:33:07] Speaker C: Now he's trying to deflect away from this because he's starting to feel. [00:33:11] Speaker B: I don't feel bad. [00:33:12] Speaker D: Yeah, [00:33:12] Speaker C: he's feeling a little bit bad because he probably should. [00:33:14] Speaker D: Somehow Jackson Smith and Jigba would get through. Oh, what [00:33:18] Speaker B: about Doug Baldwin? You know, I told you, he came out of the womb 80 yards downfield open for a touchdown. He could. He could get through. [00:33:25] Speaker D: Yeah. I don't know. That's a. That's a tough one. [00:33:28] Speaker C: I would [00:33:29] Speaker D: have a good. [00:33:30] Speaker C: If I had to pick, like, an actual player, [00:33:33] Speaker B: that would be preferable. [00:33:34] Speaker D: Yeah. Yeah. [00:33:35] Speaker C: Because I didn't understand the question. I thought you're talking about, like, teams. [00:33:37] Speaker B: I could tell [00:33:39] Speaker C: if I'm a defense and Jameer Gibbs is on the other side. [00:33:45] Speaker B: You're scared. [00:33:46] Speaker C: Yeah. I feel like you should be. [00:33:48] Speaker D: Yeah. [00:33:49] Speaker C: Feel like that man has proven himself right now. [00:33:51] Speaker B: I'm scared, too. [00:33:52] Speaker D: Yeah. Yeah, yeah. [00:33:53] Speaker C: That's pretty spooky. [00:33:54] Speaker D: Let me see, like, Trevor Lawrence put on, like, the hockey mask or something like that. Or the. The. Whatever it is. The. The mask and, like, pick up a saw or something. He'd probably. [00:34:04] Speaker C: Oh, geez, [00:34:05] Speaker B: I haven't seen Saw. [00:34:06] Speaker D: I. I don't watch scary movies as a rule, so. I [00:34:09] Speaker B: heard Saw is like. If you watch a movie that's scary, you should watch that one. [00:34:13] Speaker C: I actually think, you know. [00:34:15] Speaker D: Come on. I don't. [00:34:15] Speaker C: That's more gory. [00:34:16] Speaker B: Eric Gianzo writes in the [00:34:18] Speaker C: you saw [00:34:19] Speaker B: number one scary movie. [00:34:21] Speaker C: No, [00:34:22] Speaker B: he did recommend Silence of the Lamps. I mean, is that Scary movie? [00:34:25] Speaker C: That's. That is. But that is [00:34:27] Speaker D: really. That's a drama. That is also a classic. [00:34:29] Speaker C: That's a thriller. More than heard. Saw [00:34:31] Speaker B: is a classic. [00:34:32] Speaker C: I. I would say [00:34:33] Speaker B: that's what I. [00:34:34] Speaker C: If you want a really good intro into, like, a good scary Halloween movie, hit [00:34:39] Speaker B: me. [00:34:39] Speaker D: I know what you're gonna say. [00:34:40] Speaker C: Cabin in the Woods. [00:34:41] Speaker D: Yeah. [00:34:42] Speaker B: You weren't gonna say. You [00:34:43] Speaker D: didn't. You said it before. [00:34:45] Speaker B: Cabin [00:34:45] Speaker C: in the woods and is a really good take, and it plays up the trope very well. It's a very good movie. It's very fun. [00:34:55] Speaker B: All right. [00:34:55] Speaker C: It. It can be, like, scary and intense. [00:34:57] Speaker B: Speaking of fun. Intense. Scary. Potentially you have a segment for us this week. [00:35:02] Speaker C: I don't know why you're looking at me. I don't. [00:35:04] Speaker B: I know. I'm talking about our friend Kyle. [00:35:07] Speaker C: Well, hold on. We have some more questions here. [00:35:09] Speaker B: Sorry, didn't know that. [00:35:10] Speaker C: I don't want to ditch out on you. [00:35:12] Speaker B: If only we had a doc to watch all these things. [00:35:14] Speaker C: Well, I did say I had listener questions. I was trying to get him in here. Addison, [00:35:20] Speaker B: oh, my gosh. [00:35:22] Speaker C: Writes in [00:35:22] Speaker B: Addie the baddie [00:35:25] Speaker C: Lamar. [00:35:27] Speaker D: Oh, geez. [00:35:27] Speaker C: Is he officially injury prone? Risk, third major injury in two seasons. All have been different and he has only played fully one season. [00:35:41] Speaker D: Yeah, [00:35:42] Speaker C: although I [00:35:43] Speaker D: watched the play. I mean, this a. It's a freak thing. This is. Has nothing to do. [00:35:48] Speaker C: They're all freak things, though. This is a thing with Lamar. [00:35:50] Speaker D: I know, I know. I understand. I understand the argument. He wants to play like. Ah, okay, so you heard his hand. Like that he's [00:35:58] Speaker B: good. Breakdown, [00:35:59] Speaker D: like. I mean, I think I should. [00:36:03] Speaker C: Some of it's probably just unlucky. [00:36:05] Speaker D: The narrative of like play style I think should be dismissed because that has occurred in the past. That has been brought up of like, I don't know, the. The durability, the play style of Lamar or players of his archetype be resulting in a higher degree of injuries. I think that that should be thoroughly dismissed. At least this player in particular. [00:36:27] Speaker C: Why? [00:36:28] Speaker D: Because I don't think those result in the. In like anything having to do with his mobility on being active in the run game has any correlation with his injuries. [00:36:41] Speaker C: But those are the ones where he's taking hits when he's running. [00:36:44] Speaker D: Yeah, but I don't think any. [00:36:46] Speaker C: So injuries [00:36:47] Speaker D: have resulted. [00:36:48] Speaker C: But from those plays, this [00:36:51] Speaker D: included [00:36:52] Speaker C: the hand. I would agree the hand doesn't result from his normal usual playstyle. He just hit his hand. His [00:36:58] Speaker D: normal usual play style is pocket passing. [00:37:01] Speaker C: No, no, no, no, no. That's not what I've said. Whoa. That is not what I've said. I've actually changed my tune a lot on Lamar in recent years. But early in his career, that's what he did. He was very run heavy early in his career. The stats show that, [00:37:22] Speaker D: of course. [00:37:23] Speaker C: And he sustained multiple injuries over the course of that time frame before he transitioned into a pocket passer. All legs injuries. A lot of. A lot of stuff. I. You'd have to look exactly what some of them. But this is. I don't believe, like, I'm pretty sure this is not his first ankle issue that he has had to fight off. So I would be careful on saying that you don't think his play style correlates with some of these injuries because I. I disagree at least with the earlier ones. And that has resulted in, I think, wear and tear to some degree because that's just the way it's going to go. And. And the more you do certain activities like run a lot more, the likelier it is that you're going to have muscle related injuries in those particular areas, even if it doesn't happen on that particular play. So that's all I'm going to say. I do agree, though, that this injury has nothing to do with his play style. It was a freak injury. That was unfortunate. [00:38:28] Speaker B: I just can't defend him anymore. I just can't. I don't have. He hasn't bought the grace for me to give him much anymore. [00:38:37] Speaker C: And on top of that, I [00:38:38] Speaker B: just [00:38:38] Speaker D: have to do. What does he have to do to. To buy that grace? [00:38:44] Speaker C: Buy what grace? What do you mean by [00:38:46] Speaker B: my [00:38:47] Speaker D: grace? And what are you even defending him for? [00:38:49] Speaker B: Have you been listening to the pod? I just feel like every week it's something about Lamar. Lamar. This. He's a joke. Like why [00:38:57] Speaker D: do we. Why does any of. Why do evidence. [00:38:59] Speaker C: Would you [00:39:00] Speaker D: defend him? So [00:39:00] Speaker C: we were [00:39:01] Speaker D: just like, that's so. [00:39:03] Speaker C: Because he's gonna. He's due for a contract next year. [00:39:06] Speaker D: Okay. [00:39:07] Speaker C: So he's not gonna. The. They pretty much confirmed he's not playing the rest of the season. [00:39:12] Speaker D: Right. [00:39:12] Speaker C: That. That's multiple seasons now. [00:39:15] Speaker D: Right. [00:39:16] Speaker C: That rave that the Ravens have basically washed away. If [00:39:20] Speaker B: Josh Allen did this, Buffalo will be in a frenzy [00:39:23] Speaker C: because. [00:39:24] Speaker D: So Joe Burrow's done it [00:39:25] Speaker C: because. And look what happens. And look at the narrative that's [00:39:28] Speaker B: changed on Joe Burrow. [00:39:29] Speaker C: Joe Burrow also has a narrative of injury prone, [00:39:34] Speaker D: but when he's on the field, he's an MVP candidate. The same with Lamar Jackson. Those are two the same coin. What is the difference? [00:39:42] Speaker B: Well, I definitely think Lamar and Burrow have been given different tools around them for a team [00:39:50] Speaker C: for [00:39:50] Speaker B: sure. [00:39:51] Speaker C: Also got to a Super Bowl. [00:39:54] Speaker D: Yes. Yes. The Bengals had that one great run. It was really special. [00:40:00] Speaker B: The one year they've been good to start a season. [00:40:02] Speaker D: Yeah. [00:40:02] Speaker C: So I'm just. I think that [00:40:05] Speaker B: maybe that's [00:40:05] Speaker C: what buys it. What's different though? [00:40:07] Speaker D: That's the difference. [00:40:08] Speaker C: I think so. [00:40:09] Speaker B: Maybe [00:40:10] Speaker C: because he's shown [00:40:11] Speaker D: there's a lot [00:40:12] Speaker C: I. Because he's shown that he can get through the playoffs and not choke it away. [00:40:15] Speaker B: Remember Ian said we weren't allowed to talk about the Bills or. [00:40:20] Speaker C: That is not what I said. So stop. The point is with Joe Burrow, he gets. He got to the Super Bowl. He has shown that he didn't choke that away. [00:40:35] Speaker D: Joker, don't start with me about the choking, [00:40:39] Speaker C: but that's been a narrative with Lamar for many years. [00:40:42] Speaker D: Yeah, [00:40:42] Speaker C: he gets to the playoffs. He can't finish a run. He gets to the AFC championship. [00:40:48] Speaker D: And the Chiefs [00:40:49] Speaker C: literally. [00:40:50] Speaker D: Yeah, the Chiefs won, [00:40:51] Speaker C: but literally because of multiple failures, not just on his part. To be fair. [00:40:57] Speaker D: Yes. [00:40:58] Speaker C: When [00:40:59] Speaker D: I think of their. When I think of their playoff history, all I think of is like a Mark Jackson fumble, a Derrick Henry fumble, a Mark Jackson dropped pass. Like all. I think of all the. Like a Zay Flowers inexplicable. [00:41:12] Speaker C: Another Mark [00:41:12] Speaker D: Andrews dropped. [00:41:14] Speaker C: I do think you like to. To excuse some of it because some of those drop passes, it goes from like, I believe the game where Mark Andrews had a drop pass. Lamar also, I'm pretty sure threw a pick or a fumble or something. [00:41:30] Speaker D: He got. He was strip sacked. Yeah, [00:41:33] Speaker C: we can't talk about that. It's all about Mark Andrews drop pass [00:41:36] Speaker D: and Mark Andrews fumble on a different play. [00:41:38] Speaker C: But that's my point though. Like, you're very quick to blame somebody else other than Lamar, [00:41:46] Speaker B: but I think [00:41:46] Speaker D: everyone else is. Likes to be equally as reductive and say like, this is. This is the a one man team. And [00:41:54] Speaker B: I do think the super bowl has a lot to do with it. There's a reason that we don't talk about Jared Goff choking in the playoffs in games that aren't in the dome. [00:42:02] Speaker D: Is Joe really on another strata than Lamar [00:42:05] Speaker C: Jackson said that. I want to be clear. I never said. Said that [00:42:07] Speaker D: because he won. He went one game farther. One. A single game farther in the playoffs one time. He is on another level than. I [00:42:15] Speaker B: don't think he's on another level, but I think his play is excused. [00:42:19] Speaker D: His play is. What does that mean? Like his injury history or like flaw? Okay. [00:42:24] Speaker B: Yeah. [00:42:24] Speaker D: Because he has missed multiple seasons. [00:42:26] Speaker B: Yeah. But when he's on the field, he's an MVP candidate. Let me play your words back to you. [00:42:32] Speaker D: Right. All right. Yeah, that's what I'm saying. [00:42:33] Speaker C: There's been a little bit more drama with Lamar's injuries, though, because it does seem like there was one season where. And it was before his contract extension where he was injured, but it wasn't like completely clear how healthy he was, so he didn't come back. And they basically like, it was this weird thing. Thing. [00:43:02] Speaker D: Yeah. [00:43:02] Speaker C: With Lamar. And part of that it's probably no different than what happens with any other player. But Lamar doesn't have pr. [00:43:12] Speaker D: Yeah, [00:43:12] Speaker C: he doesn't have anybody. [00:43:13] Speaker D: It's kind of unique. But you know what he [00:43:15] Speaker C: did right after that? [00:43:16] Speaker D: He did one of the greatest things I've ever seen in sports. He got his bag, and then he went and played the best ball of his career immediately after he went and balled out that season and looked at one of the greatest quarterback seasons I've ever seen immediately after getting his bag. And that's something I love to see because there's a lot of players who play for the contract. And once you get the money, then you're good, Then you're set. We can chill. And Lamar, that year, like half a dozen other quarterbacks, got their bag. He was the one who went and balled out after and lived fully up to it, was worth every penny of that contract. Inarguable. They got everything they could have asked for for that money. They rolled the dice and said, fine, we'll pay the money. And they got the greatest quarterback in the league as a result. And he did everything that he could. [00:44:07] Speaker C: You're not wrong. I'm just. The fact is he's. He's injury prone. I don't know what else to say. [00:44:13] Speaker D: I'm not saying he's not like, yeah, like, he has sustained a lot of injuries, and it's very frustrating. I would be really devastated as a. If it were a Raider. I [00:44:21] Speaker C: think that's where the problem is, though. This is. Now. This is not the first season, [00:44:28] Speaker B: and I'm a Lamar apologist. I feel like [00:44:31] Speaker C: there's not. This is not the first season where Lamar particularly gets injured. And then it's literally just, well, this. This again. Literally, this again. You know, that's rough. And I'm pretty sure Joe Burrow also had that same conversation, like, oh, man, here we go. But a lot of Joe Burrows were happening, like, back to back, like. Like, they. He was barely playing. Right. He basically had that one super bowl year, and then there was a couple things there, and then he just didn't play. But the Bengals, just as an organization, you know, they're kind of a hobby. [00:45:07] Speaker D: This is kind of just something that you have to accept for certain teams that you can have a player on the field and accept that maybe more than some other teams, you're gonna have to deal with these occasions on which, you know, they're. [00:45:25] Speaker C: This isn't just one occasion, though. [00:45:27] Speaker B: And I don't think it's just one. [00:45:29] Speaker D: You know, I think that it's it's some of these, the Bengals and Ravens are I think, greatest example of this. There are lower tier caliber quarterbacks that are in this where this is the experience that you're gonna get. But these are just like a couple of the top tier where you just have to accept as it's just [00:45:48] Speaker B: their division [00:45:49] Speaker D: that like, hey, if they're healthy, we are in the mix. Our ceiling is Super Bowl. If Lamar is healthy the whole time and Joe Burrow is healthy the whole time, those teams legitimately could win it all if their play, if their quarterback plays the whole season. But you have to accept that that might not happen. [00:46:08] Speaker B: I could really, I might not think of like every team that's. Can you. I could think about Washington and the Giants and Philadelphia. Like I could go down every division and think pretty comparable. Like Jane Daniels when he's healthy, he's like great. Dak when he looks great, he's great. Jalen hurts when he looks great, they're great. Like, [00:46:28] Speaker D: I don't know what point you're trying to make because you're not putting them on the same tier as Joe and Lamar. [00:46:32] Speaker B: I'm more saying that the inconsistency of. To be able to predict that your quarterback is going to be available long term, it's impossible. It's unpredictable. It's a fallacy for you to think that you can predict it and maybe just [00:46:50] Speaker D: predicting. We're not talking about predicting, but [00:46:52] Speaker B: maybe, maybe the idea that Lamar needs to be healthy is unrealistic, just like it is for every quarterback. [00:47:00] Speaker D: Sure, I get I've your point. I've lost your point. But still, I don't know why this is contentious. [00:47:09] Speaker C: It's contentious because you're going to pay somebody a lot of money and you're rolling the dice. And that dice. He ain't getting any younger, man. It's not like his body's getting any. He's [00:47:23] Speaker D: 29. [00:47:24] Speaker C: You're not getting any younger, though. He's only going to get older. [00:47:29] Speaker D: Okay. [00:47:29] Speaker C: This is the thing though, like you're saying he's 29, as if this is like supposed to be some redeeming quality about. So [00:47:35] Speaker D: this is about the contract. Like when it comes to negotiating the contract, [00:47:39] Speaker C: money. [00:47:39] Speaker D: Okay. It's [00:47:40] Speaker C: always about. [00:47:41] Speaker D: I'm understanding what [00:47:43] Speaker C: you're [00:47:43] Speaker D: talking about. [00:47:44] Speaker C: Your point that he's the probably the best quarterback in the league when he's out there. I would agree. I maybe say Josh Allen probably has a little bit of a case currently, but that's here nor there. They're basically the same [00:48:00] Speaker D: Right. [00:48:01] Speaker C: But the problem and this from an organizational standpoint and from like a fan base, you're kind of just along for the ride. But the organization has to ask that question of like, can we afford to pay this guy? [00:48:12] Speaker D: Yeah. [00:48:12] Speaker C: That we know could probably take us to the Super Bowl. We feel pretty comfortable on that. He hasn't, but we feel like he could. But we're also rolling the dice that he's going to get injured. And that gamble gets bigger and bigger after each injury and each year. Of [00:48:30] Speaker D: course. [00:48:31] Speaker C: And I do think, is it. The age does matter. Like a 30 year old, 29 year old getting injured now is not the same compared to like a 24 year old. The body literally. [00:48:45] Speaker D: Yeah. [00:48:46] Speaker C: Is not gonna bounce back. That's the same. [00:48:48] Speaker B: He's getting older. [00:48:49] Speaker D: He's getting older. Like. Yes. This is the, this is like. [00:48:52] Speaker C: And this is like a Cam Newton type of situation almost where it's like the light is like so bright that season when he. His Cam Newton's MVP season. Incredible. [00:49:05] Speaker D: Truly [00:49:05] Speaker C: incredible. So good. Oh [00:49:07] Speaker D: my gosh. [00:49:07] Speaker C: So good. A [00:49:08] Speaker B: very different playing styles. [00:49:10] Speaker C: True. But then the meat, like if it felt like he fell off a cliff. [00:49:15] Speaker D: Yeah. [00:49:15] Speaker C: After a certain point. And I, I'm not saying that's gonna happen to Lamar. And I don't think that has [00:49:20] Speaker B: happened. [00:49:21] Speaker C: Right. No. And I don't think it is. I think if [00:49:23] Speaker D: he retired today, like it would still. He'd. Still. He had a better career than Cam. For sure. Still. Anyway. Yes. I think [00:49:32] Speaker B: he's talking about the dramatic plummet of what that could be. Like. Right. Like. [00:49:36] Speaker D: Right. Right. We haven't seen it. And [00:49:38] Speaker C: Cam was young. [00:49:40] Speaker D: Yes. [00:49:41] Speaker C: So that's my, That's. [00:49:43] Speaker D: I'm getting lost here. But I. Going into a contract year, you don't want to get injured. Like, that sucks. This is bad. This makes the negotiation really difficult for both parties. I, I understand your point, though. It's going to probably be drawn out. It's going to be difficult. The Ravens organization has big questions to answer. I, I do still think that most teams in the league, if they were given an opportunity to bet on a player and say when this guy's on the field, which more. More seasons than not, he has been present on the field for the majority of the season. I know we've talked a lot about how many times it's gone out. But like, more he's been playing and if he is on the field, he's going to be in the MVP conversation. He's one of the greatest passers and greatest runners and overall Greatest at the most important position in the league. Do you want to bid on that? Knowing that there's a maybe higher than other percentage chance that he gets hurt and you are playing a backup instead? [00:50:45] Speaker B: And he does have one more season to prove it. He isn't a free agent until the [00:50:48] Speaker C: year [00:50:49] Speaker B: after. [00:50:49] Speaker C: I do think [00:50:50] Speaker D: most teams would say, yes, I'm in. [00:50:52] Speaker C: I would agree. [00:50:54] Speaker D: Cool. Okay. He [00:50:56] Speaker B: is getting older, [00:50:57] Speaker D: right? This doesn't help. This is a bad time to get hurt. Yeah. Like right. Going into the. [00:51:03] Speaker B: He's not proving [00:51:04] Speaker D: negotiations. [00:51:04] Speaker B: Yeah, it's hard. [00:51:05] Speaker C: Addison also asked about or no, my dad also asked about Cincinnati. But we don't have to. I feel like we touched on Joe Burrow a little bit in there. [00:51:14] Speaker B: They're just a weird team too. [00:51:16] Speaker D: Yeah, that's true. [00:51:18] Speaker C: I feel like there's not a lot of teams where I watch them right now and I'm like, I feel like I have you figured out. I feel like I have the Vikings figured out. They're pretty easy. [00:51:27] Speaker B: How about next week? My segment is we're going to figure out the teams [00:51:31] Speaker C: because I'd have to like really sit down. Like the Broncos. I don't know do. I don't know what the hell they are. Like, they're a great fourth quarter team, that's for sure. We're [00:51:40] Speaker B: going [00:51:40] Speaker C: to figure out something [00:51:41] Speaker B: next weekend. We're going to figure out some things. Kyle got a weekly segment for us. [00:51:45] Speaker D: Okay. Let's talk about a couple things, guys. For one, I want to introduce a new gimmick to the show. This is not my full segment. This is just like a little mini mini piece, but there's a mini pie. A new component to the point after show that I want to introduce for funsies just to like up the entertainment level and make. Make things matter a little bit more. So [00:52:09] Speaker C: saying I don't matter. [00:52:12] Speaker D: So what I did, I obtained. I obtained something that is a little bit. From now on, I want to introduce the idea of us kind of punishing someone in the group with a very particular and simple punishment. Okay. Okay. So going forward, if. If you get voted 2 to 1 that you've been shirted. Okay. That you get the shirt, you got to wear the shirt. [00:52:46] Speaker C: The shirt. [00:52:47] Speaker D: If you. That's this for some sort of penalty that we agree on. Enter. It could be have. It could be, you know, doing something being something rude on the show or losing a game that we play on the show. It could be anything or it could be something big at the end of the season. Just [00:53:03] Speaker B: lose every week. [00:53:03] Speaker D: Losing the picks competition or something like that. Hey, you got. Getting [00:53:07] Speaker B: easily offended at being. [00:53:08] Speaker D: This is the penalty that you had to pay. You got to wear the shirt. And if it's something really bad, like we could, you know, you win a stake at the end for winning the picks. You lose. You might have. You might have to wear the shirt. [00:53:19] Speaker C: Wow. [00:53:20] Speaker B: Wow. [00:53:21] Speaker D: When we go out to dinner. [00:53:22] Speaker C: What is this shirt? [00:53:23] Speaker D: Let me show you. Okay. There's a visual component here. [00:53:27] Speaker C: All right, listeners, are you ready to watch? This is why [00:53:28] Speaker B: we are doing video Ian. [00:53:30] Speaker C: Okay. Oh, this is prepared. Is this like you printed something on here? [00:53:37] Speaker D: I didn't print it. But [00:53:38] Speaker C: you found it. [00:53:39] Speaker B: Somebody painted. All right, [00:53:40] Speaker D: let's see it. The story behind it is very boring. Like a business thing. I. I somehow obtained this through a boring story. But anyway, this is the shirt that you must wear. [00:53:50] Speaker C: Very bright bronze. No, [00:53:54] Speaker B: it's a high vis. [00:53:57] Speaker C: It's got [00:53:58] Speaker B: reflective browns stripe. It's almost like you're a cross guard football fan. That works. Is there [00:54:04] Speaker C: anything on the back? [00:54:06] Speaker D: No, no. It just looks like you're some sort of like a construction worker, like, with reflective apparel. I don't think that'll Cleveland, but it's [00:54:14] Speaker B: cute that you thought that. [00:54:15] Speaker D: Hey, I. I did my best. I did my best. The [00:54:18] Speaker C: funny part is when you wear it, then that makes it even more embarrassing. [00:54:23] Speaker D: So from now on, this is. I'm enshrining this as a part of the point after experience. And if something does not go in your favor, it's [00:54:32] Speaker C: fitting. [00:54:33] Speaker B: Just whenever you two want to unite against me, I get to. [00:54:36] Speaker D: Yeah, you get the shirt, man. For that, what you just did. I mean, we gotta be. We gotta be a little bit careful about it. It's got to be warranted. But any real point after penalty can result in you getting the shirt. Are [00:54:51] Speaker B: we going to take the tag off of the shirt? [00:54:52] Speaker D: I'll take the tag off and [00:54:54] Speaker B: just make sure you're not returning it after. [00:54:56] Speaker D: There's no returning it. This was a. This was like, just like a. You [00:54:59] Speaker B: wanted to know. You wanted us to know. It's licensed apparel. [00:55:02] Speaker D: I didn't actually spend any money on this. I spent money and got this as an add on to my purchase. And I thought, that's amazing. I'm going to bring this to the point after. And when someone. It is a penalty on the show. You have to wear hotels. This browns shirt. [00:55:18] Speaker B: Maybe your [00:55:18] Speaker C: listeners should write penalty in mind here. [00:55:21] Speaker D: Maybe. Maybe the loser of the Knicks game that we're gonna play could don the shirt [00:55:28] Speaker C: for the next Pod. [00:55:29] Speaker D: No, no. Well, here. Because [00:55:30] Speaker B: maybe for our picks, [00:55:32] Speaker D: I printed out new pages for the game. [00:55:34] Speaker B: Can we do exclusively our the new pages? [00:55:37] Speaker D: Sure. Okay. All right. I need you to keep score and generate random numbers. One of you. [00:55:45] Speaker B: I'll keep score. Ian is great at rating in generating numbers. [00:55:48] Speaker C: I love random numbers. [00:55:50] Speaker B: How many rounds are we going to do here? [00:55:51] Speaker D: I generated, I think, nine new pages. [00:55:56] Speaker B: Wow. We're 55 minutes in. I love this. [00:55:58] Speaker D: Okay, we don't have to do them all if we're hating every minute of our time together. [00:56:05] Speaker C: Flag. [00:56:06] Speaker D: Okay. Yeah, that's. That's a potential penalty. All right, are you ready? [00:56:12] Speaker C: Yes. [00:56:13] Speaker D: Give me. Let's go through these one by one. Give me a random number between 1 and [00:56:19] Speaker C: 101 and 142. [00:56:24] Speaker D: Okay. This list is the top 100 career sack leaders. Try and get as close as you can to Whoever is number 42 on that list. Do [00:56:34] Speaker B: I get to go first? [00:56:36] Speaker D: Yeah. [00:56:38] Speaker B: Jpp. [00:56:40] Speaker D: Okay. [00:56:40] Speaker B: Jason. Pierre Paul. [00:56:41] Speaker D: Good guess. Good guess. Ian, do you have a guess? [00:56:44] Speaker C: Oh, sorry, I'm yawning. [00:56:47] Speaker B: Thanks. Made this segment feel really good. Go ahead, Ian. [00:56:50] Speaker C: It's late when we're recording, man. Come on, [00:56:52] Speaker D: give me a name. [00:56:54] Speaker C: I got. I gotta think this. Give [00:56:55] Speaker D: me someone who's got a lot of sacks [00:56:57] Speaker C: and Dominican Sue. [00:56:58] Speaker D: Okay, I'll go with one of the Watt brothers. Let's go, JJ. All right, let's see. [00:57:05] Speaker C: 42. [00:57:06] Speaker D: JJ Watt is 38, so I'm off to a pretty good start. [00:57:10] Speaker C: That's really close. Who [00:57:11] Speaker D: did you say, Ian? [00:57:12] Speaker C: I said, Is he lower? He's clearly lower. If J.J. watt is only 38, I feel like. Yeah, [00:57:22] Speaker D: I'm not seeing a Dominican sue on here. Where's jump? Here, Paul? [00:57:25] Speaker C: 100. [00:57:28] Speaker D: I'm looking. See, this is the part where you guys have to, like. I feel about getting [00:57:32] Speaker B: there [00:57:33] Speaker D: a little bit. [00:57:33] Speaker C: Well, I'm just surprised. I thought Dominican. Are you really mad [00:57:36] Speaker B: at me today? [00:57:38] Speaker C: Keep, like, keep ragging on me, man. [00:57:42] Speaker B: Okay, I'll work on it. [00:57:43] Speaker C: I was tired. Tired of. [00:57:46] Speaker B: I mean, I'm tired too. Just because I don't got, you [00:57:48] Speaker C: know, John [00:57:48] Speaker D: Pierre Paul is 83. [00:57:50] Speaker B: Jason. What about John or Jason? [00:57:53] Speaker D: Oh, Jason Pierre Paul. He's [00:57:55] Speaker B: what, 93? [00:57:56] Speaker D: 83. 83. [00:57:58] Speaker C: And Dominican Sue's not even on that list. Thank [00:58:01] Speaker B: you, Ian. Off to a bad start for. I feel like there should be a penalty for not being on the board. [00:58:07] Speaker C: What? No, you can't do that just because of the game. Because you just want to give someone the shirt. We agreed that the loser of the game Would. Oh, [00:58:18] Speaker B: we know who the loser is [00:58:19] Speaker C: currently. Yeah, it's gonna be me. [00:58:21] Speaker D: Yeah. I don't see in diamond conceal on. [00:58:22] Speaker C: That's nuts, man. That's nuts. I thought he was better than this. [00:58:28] Speaker D: I thought so too. [00:58:29] Speaker B: I thought you were better than this. [00:58:30] Speaker D: I don't think. I mean, I think he was a defensive force, but I don't think he was a sack leader. I think he was a defensive tackle. Right. [00:58:36] Speaker C: Clearly. [00:58:37] Speaker D: Yeah. Yeah. Anyway, so I did really good that round. Good job, me. Give me a number, random number between 1 and 100. [00:58:48] Speaker C: Generate 62. [00:58:50] Speaker D: Give me whoever's ranked 62 on the top 100 career interceptions thrown list. Which quarterback is thrown? I [00:59:01] Speaker B: know. Number one is Stafford. [00:59:03] Speaker D: No, it is not [00:59:04] Speaker C: yet. Not yet. [00:59:05] Speaker D: No. I think he's top 10. [00:59:07] Speaker C: He's two, I think, right now. [00:59:09] Speaker D: Is he really? [00:59:10] Speaker B: What number are we trying to guess [00:59:12] Speaker D: what number 62 who has thrown. [00:59:15] Speaker B: I'll go Kirk Cousins. [00:59:17] Speaker D: Okay. All right. That's cool. That's cool, that's cool. [00:59:19] Speaker B: Thank you. [00:59:22] Speaker D: Give me a guess, Ian. [00:59:24] Speaker C: Philip Rivers. No, [00:59:28] Speaker B: I want you [00:59:28] Speaker C: to take Philip Rivers. He's [00:59:30] Speaker D: probably too high. I [00:59:32] Speaker C: think he's too high. [00:59:32] Speaker D: Yeah. His career was so long. [00:59:34] Speaker C: I know. [00:59:35] Speaker D: That's why some of these are a little bit of longevity. [00:59:37] Speaker C: I know. That's why I was like, maybe like, don't [00:59:39] Speaker B: talk him off of it. I think Phil Bruce is actually a decent pick. [00:59:42] Speaker C: I think I'm gonna stick with Phil Brewers. Or [00:59:44] Speaker B: do I. [00:59:45] Speaker D: Yeah. [00:59:45] Speaker C: I don't actually know. It was just my gut. [00:59:48] Speaker D: Okay. [00:59:48] Speaker C: He had a long career. [00:59:50] Speaker D: I'm go. Johnny [00:59:51] Speaker B: Manzel. [00:59:51] Speaker D: I. I like to. I like to, for some of these, go like a throwback name. I don't. Let's go Rich. I'm gonna go Rich. [00:59:58] Speaker C: Okay. I hope he's not on there. [01:00:00] Speaker D: Okay, let's see who [01:00:02] Speaker B: is number. The [01:00:03] Speaker D: number. Number. Did I even say who? We [01:00:06] Speaker B: didn't say the exact one on the last. [01:00:08] Speaker D: What was the number? 42. [01:00:09] Speaker C: 42. [01:00:09] Speaker D: 42 was Lyle Alzado. [01:00:12] Speaker C: No idea who that is. I [01:00:14] Speaker D: don't either. So for this one, what's our number? [01:00:18] Speaker C: 60. [01:00:18] Speaker D: 62 is Matt Hasselbeck. [01:00:21] Speaker C: Wow, what a name. [01:00:23] Speaker D: Matt Hasselbeck is 62 on this list? I [01:00:26] Speaker B: literally was. [01:00:27] Speaker D: Kirk Cousins is 83. [01:00:29] Speaker C: That's pretty close. [01:00:30] Speaker D: Not bad. That's [01:00:31] Speaker C: pretty close. [01:00:32] Speaker D: Okay, okay, okay, okay. Okay. Now [01:00:36] Speaker C: he's probably. [01:00:37] Speaker B: It depends. Are you thinking [01:00:38] Speaker C: too high? [01:00:39] Speaker B: Talking about quarterbacks where they had an interception thrown. Philip [01:00:42] Speaker D: Rivers is 22. [01:00:44] Speaker B: Oh, on [01:00:44] Speaker D: the list. A [01:00:45] Speaker B: little high. Rich Gannon. Philip Rivers has a lot of them when he's down six points, no timeouts, 50 seconds on his own 20. [01:00:52] Speaker C: I don't know if I watched all of the Chargers, San Diego's games. [01:00:59] Speaker B: Those jerseys, baby blue. [01:01:01] Speaker C: I do like the babies. That's like a blue. That's my favorite blue. [01:01:05] Speaker B: That's your favorite? We've heard your take on blues. [01:01:07] Speaker C: I like the Detroit. Like, Honolulu blue is fine. It's just not my favorite blue. [01:01:13] Speaker B: I'm praying Rich Cannon isn't on the board. [01:01:15] Speaker D: He's not on the board. [01:01:17] Speaker C: Okay. [01:01:19] Speaker D: Okay. A number between 1 and 100, [01:01:23] Speaker C: making it easy. 23. Near the top. [01:01:26] Speaker D: This is career passing touchdown leaders. Simple. [01:01:30] Speaker C: That's not simple. This is like a lot of touchdowns. [01:01:32] Speaker D: Who's number 23 on the list of most career passing touchdowns? Give me your names, gentlemen. Give me your name. [01:01:41] Speaker C: Jared Goff. [01:01:42] Speaker D: I like it. [01:01:43] Speaker C: I actually think that might be reasonable pick. [01:01:46] Speaker D: Okay. [01:01:47] Speaker C: I could also be way wrong. [01:01:49] Speaker D: Okay. [01:01:50] Speaker B: Tell me the number again. [01:01:51] Speaker D: 23. [01:01:53] Speaker B: Man. Part of me wants to say Ben Roethlisberger [01:01:56] Speaker C: because it's like. It's like high, but it's not [01:01:58] Speaker B: because I hate [01:01:58] Speaker C: him. [01:02:00] Speaker B: So if I didn't do well, I'd be like, I hate him. [01:02:03] Speaker D: I know, I know. But show some ball knowledge here. [01:02:06] Speaker C: Do it. [01:02:07] Speaker D: Big Ben is not ball knowledge. [01:02:12] Speaker B: You only say Russell Wilson. No, I won't see Russell Wilson. Not enough. Doesn't sling it like I need to. [01:02:19] Speaker C: He's. I feel like he's. [01:02:22] Speaker D: Yeah, [01:02:22] Speaker C: he's looking up. Not information. [01:02:24] Speaker B: Literally looking up, like, the teams. I'm just looking. Trying [01:02:27] Speaker C: to like looking. [01:02:29] Speaker D: That's [01:02:30] Speaker B: where I'm [01:02:30] Speaker D: at. But I explained accept, [01:02:31] Speaker C: so I thought you were, like, looking at names. [01:02:34] Speaker B: Rogers could be. [01:02:35] Speaker C: Rogers is gonna be. [01:02:36] Speaker D: Rogers is going to be top five easily. [01:02:38] Speaker C: Yeah. Long career and a lot of touchdowns. How [01:02:41] Speaker B: many? How many? This is all time. [01:02:42] Speaker D: Yeah. [01:02:43] Speaker C: All time. [01:02:43] Speaker B: Can you give an answer? I'm filibustering. [01:02:45] Speaker D: I'm gonna go Donovan McNabb. [01:02:47] Speaker C: Oh, [01:02:47] Speaker B: wow. That makes me smile [01:02:49] Speaker D: because I feel like he's probably in [01:02:50] Speaker C: the old school ball knowledge, don't you? [01:02:53] Speaker D: I'm. He's got. He's probably in the top 20. [01:02:55] Speaker C: I remember Donovan McNabb with his Campbell Soup. [01:03:00] Speaker D: Of course. [01:03:01] Speaker C: Gosh, those commercials were classic. [01:03:03] Speaker D: I remember those very well. Yeah. [01:03:05] Speaker C: You're gonna need to pick somebody. [01:03:07] Speaker B: All right. I'm gonna go with Kirk Cousins again. [01:03:09] Speaker D: You are going back. You [01:03:13] Speaker C: did well for him the first time around. [01:03:14] Speaker D: Actual number 23 is Dave Krieg. [01:03:18] Speaker C: No, I did hear that. [01:03:19] Speaker D: Jared Goff is 25. Wow. [01:03:24] Speaker C: Oh, yeah. [01:03:26] Speaker D: Donovan McNabb. Is 38. [01:03:29] Speaker C: Get out of here. [01:03:29] Speaker D: Incorrect. Kirk Cousins is 15. [01:03:34] Speaker C: That was our best one. [01:03:36] Speaker D: Very nicely done, gentlemen. [01:03:38] Speaker B: Thank you. [01:03:39] Speaker C: I'm glad we've all won around. [01:03:42] Speaker D: Number between 1 and 100. Hit me. [01:03:45] Speaker C: All right, let's see, let's see, let's see. [01:03:46] Speaker B: So we're just. Who WINS the round [01:03:48] Speaker C: 15? [01:03:49] Speaker B: Or is it like, if you're off the board, it doesn't really matter. We doing like. Like, you need to. This shirt, I'm going to have to wear this. Way too tight for me. I am not going to do it. [01:04:01] Speaker D: You're going to try [01:04:02] Speaker B: before. I'm not going to do it blindly. If I lose this when you're not telling me, okay. How I'm supposed to lose. [01:04:08] Speaker D: I think we have to do for this. Let's just do scoring. Let's just do 01 and 2 for scoring. God, [01:04:15] Speaker B: this. [01:04:16] Speaker C: I was going to be 3, 2, 1. But that works, too. Yeah. [01:04:19] Speaker D: Yeah. Okay. Okay. So you said the number was 15. [01:04:25] Speaker C: Yeah, 15. So [01:04:26] Speaker D: 15. So the category is NFL head coaches by regular season victories. So who has the 15th most regular season victories of all historical NFL head coaches? 15th most. [01:04:41] Speaker C: 15th. [01:04:44] Speaker B: Is it McCarthy? [01:04:45] Speaker D: Mike McCarthy. I feel like that's a decent guess. That [01:04:48] Speaker C: is a good one. [01:04:48] Speaker D: I like that. Mike McCarthy's a good one. [01:04:51] Speaker C: Tomlin would be too high. [01:04:53] Speaker B: Woody. [01:04:54] Speaker C: He's got [01:04:54] Speaker B: a lot of losses. [01:04:55] Speaker D: He's got to be top 20 for sure. I'm [01:04:57] Speaker C: gonna go with Mike Tomlin. [01:04:59] Speaker D: I like that. Then I feel like you're going Tomlin. [01:05:03] Speaker B: Are you a real bone thougher? [01:05:05] Speaker D: I'll go [01:05:06] Speaker C: Don Shula. [01:05:07] Speaker D: I'll go Sean Payton. [01:05:09] Speaker C: Sean Payton. [01:05:09] Speaker D: All right, let's see what we got. 15 is Mike McCarthy. Mike Tomlin is 10. Sean Payton is 13. [01:05:21] Speaker C: Wow. We were. We [01:05:23] Speaker D: were good, you guys. That was [01:05:24] Speaker C: pretty close. You [01:05:25] Speaker B: were good, but were you great [01:05:26] Speaker D: on the money? That is rare out of a hundred you got on the money. [01:05:32] Speaker B: You know who I was thinking about? [01:05:33] Speaker D: Like, you should get a bonus. Like, [01:05:35] Speaker C: no, [01:05:36] Speaker B: thank you. [01:05:37] Speaker D: Bonus point. [01:05:37] Speaker B: You know who I was thinking about saying? I'm just. Can you tell me where he is at on there? I was going to go Holmgren. [01:05:42] Speaker D: Mike Holmgren is [01:05:45] Speaker B: that name. Just makes me smile. I think [01:05:47] Speaker D: 21 [01:05:49] Speaker C: Don Shula somewhere. [01:05:51] Speaker B: 21 Don [01:05:52] Speaker C: Sho's number one. [01:05:53] Speaker D: Yeah. [01:05:54] Speaker C: Wow. [01:05:54] Speaker B: Are you kidding me? [01:05:55] Speaker D: Come on, man. [01:05:56] Speaker C: Yeah, No, I [01:05:57] Speaker D: Don't you know ball? [01:05:58] Speaker C: No, apparently not. [01:05:59] Speaker B: Don't you know ball? That's gonna be the title of our episode. [01:06:02] Speaker C: I don't read one [01:06:03] Speaker D: and 50. Number between one and 50. [01:06:05] Speaker C: 50. [01:06:06] Speaker B: Oh, gosh. Let's go. I gotta [01:06:07] Speaker C: change. [01:06:08] Speaker B: I got 37. I got 37. I think that's what the numbers. [01:06:13] Speaker C: Number five. [01:06:14] Speaker D: This is [01:06:14] Speaker C: quite high. [01:06:15] Speaker D: Colleges ranked by NFL first round picks. [01:06:20] Speaker B: You. Notre Dame. [01:06:22] Speaker D: You're saying Notre Dame is the fifth most. [01:06:24] Speaker B: Because I know that they're not the fifth, but I know they're number one. [01:06:28] Speaker D: They're not number [01:06:29] Speaker C: one. I'll go U of M. [01:06:30] Speaker D: Okay. U of M is a good one. I, I gotta. Okay, let me. Let's go. Oklahoma. [01:06:38] Speaker B: Number one, usc. [01:06:41] Speaker D: Number five is Florida. Number one is Ohio State. Let's see you. Did you say Michigan? [01:06:49] Speaker C: Yeah. [01:06:49] Speaker D: Number nine is Michigan, which appears to be the closest. No. Eight is Notre Dame. Wow. Notre Dame is eight. Michigan is nine. Oklahoma's 15. Good job, you guys. [01:07:01] Speaker C: Not bad. Not bad. [01:07:02] Speaker D: Very good. All right. [01:07:05] Speaker C: Florida State. [01:07:07] Speaker D: Florida and is 5. Florida State is 6. [01:07:11] Speaker C: Wow. So Florida just in general. Florida. [01:07:13] Speaker D: Yeah, yeah. Just killing it. Killing. [01:07:14] Speaker C: They did have like. Well, that's not Miami. [01:07:16] Speaker B: They do have the hotbed of recruiting. [01:07:19] Speaker D: I mean, 100, [01:07:21] Speaker C: 100. I got, [01:07:22] Speaker D: give me a number. [01:07:23] Speaker B: Got to change it back. He's got to change it back. We're going to go 86 here. I think we should start guessing what the numbers are going to be. 86, 87. Thank [01:07:30] Speaker D: you. I [01:07:31] Speaker C: swear to God. That was crazy. [01:07:34] Speaker D: I love with the hundred lists where we get a high number because then you're just reaching. Oh, [01:07:38] Speaker B: yeah. We're going like Chris Chambers. [01:07:39] Speaker D: Yeah. Yeah. This is career rushing touchdown leaders. 87. Like when you get that high, it could be any, it could be a quarterback for. It could be. It's [01:07:50] Speaker B: like, could I [01:07:51] Speaker C: say like low. [01:07:53] Speaker D: Right? [01:07:53] Speaker C: Lamar Jackson. [01:07:55] Speaker D: Okay, that's a great guess. Career rushing touchdown leaders. Josh Allen is probably on this list as well. [01:08:02] Speaker B: I'm gonna go. Maurice Jones. Drew. [01:08:05] Speaker C: Wow. [01:08:06] Speaker D: Okay. Maurice Jones. Drew. Jeez Rice. Okay, I've gotta, I'm gonna go. Michael [01:08:13] Speaker C: Vick. [01:08:15] Speaker B: That's up. That's on our bingo chart. When Kyle does. [01:08:18] Speaker D: Let's go. Aaron Jones. [01:08:24] Speaker B: No way. I don't think he's even on the board. Okay, [01:08:26] Speaker C: 87. What do we got? [01:08:27] Speaker D: 87 is Bill Brown. [01:08:30] Speaker B: Oh, my gosh. That was my second pick. Or that Brian. [01:08:35] Speaker D: Okay, okay, okay, okay. [01:08:37] Speaker C: Why did I, [01:08:38] Speaker D: I Forget that Deuce McAllister is a realister. [01:08:44] Speaker C: How many years do you think he just wore [01:08:46] Speaker B: number two? [01:08:47] Speaker D: I don't know. [01:08:47] Speaker C: I feel like I got influenced to take a quarterback here because he was like, it could be anybody. And then I just went with a guy. See. [01:08:54] Speaker D: Ah, I, I, I talked myself out of a better guess. Okay, let's. Who [01:09:00] Speaker C: were you? [01:09:00] Speaker B: Yeah, who was your other guess? [01:09:01] Speaker D: I was gonna go. I'm on green. I almost [01:09:03] Speaker B: won. Brian [01:09:04] Speaker D: Westbrook, number 60. [01:09:05] Speaker C: That would have been a good guess. [01:09:07] Speaker D: Okay, I forgot what your guesses were. I [01:09:09] Speaker C: said [01:09:10] Speaker D: Maurice [01:09:10] Speaker B: Jones. Drew. [01:09:12] Speaker D: Oh, Aaron Jones is 86. [01:09:16] Speaker B: What? [01:09:17] Speaker C: That was who you picked? [01:09:18] Speaker D: Not even kidding you. [01:09:20] Speaker B: Literally. [01:09:20] Speaker D: He's literally 86 with 52 career touchdowns. [01:09:24] Speaker C: He got this [01:09:24] Speaker B: one. So. Yeah, he has Lamar and I have Maurice Jones. Drew, [01:09:29] Speaker D: he is 42 on the list. [01:09:31] Speaker B: MJD. [01:09:32] Speaker D: Yes, he is. [01:09:33] Speaker C: Lamar is probably not even on there then. [01:09:35] Speaker D: Lamar Jackson, I think he's on. Let's see if I can find him on here. [01:09:39] Speaker C: No, he's on there [01:09:40] Speaker B: for rushing yards, not touchdowns. I bet he's not on the board. [01:09:43] Speaker D: Okay. Because Josh Allen is 23. Yeah, he has [01:09:46] Speaker B: a lot of rushing touchdowns. [01:09:46] Speaker D: He does have a lot of [01:09:47] Speaker C: rushing touchdowns. Quite high. [01:09:49] Speaker D: Yes. [01:09:49] Speaker B: He has a lot of one yard touchdowns. Like, I bet Jalen Hurts is high on this too. [01:09:54] Speaker D: Yeah, yeah, yeah. [01:09:55] Speaker A: Sure, sure, sure, sure, sure, sure. [01:09:56] Speaker D: Jalen Hurts is 53 on the list. So there are quarterbacks [01:09:59] Speaker C: up here. A butt shoves a lot of butt shoves. [01:10:02] Speaker D: Yeah, yeah, yeah. [01:10:03] Speaker C: What do they call that again? Tush push. That's what Butt [01:10:07] Speaker B: shoves. [01:10:07] Speaker C: Butt shoves a [01:10:08] Speaker B: lot of butt shoves. [01:10:09] Speaker D: I looked [01:10:10] Speaker B: at you [01:10:10] Speaker D: a [01:10:10] Speaker B: little stranger during that episode. This [01:10:12] Speaker C: episode. Fine. It's fine. [01:10:14] Speaker B: Not on the list. [01:10:14] Speaker C: Okay. I'm wearing the shirt. I can feel. By [01:10:17] Speaker B: the way, nothing about this game makes me laugh more than when I'll get an all caps message from Justin Matson that just says Jason Hansen. [01:10:30] Speaker D: Yes. [01:10:31] Speaker C: For career Touchdown leaders [01:10:33] Speaker D: 100. [01:10:34] Speaker B: Just whatever. Whatever topic we're doing. [01:10:37] Speaker D: I like. I love [01:10:38] Speaker C: 90. 90. [01:10:39] Speaker D: I love when we get the guesses. This is receiving touchdowns. So we've got another high number for receiving touchdowns. High notes. [01:10:48] Speaker B: You go first. Wait, [01:10:49] Speaker D: this could be our running back. Like, it's fun when it's like. It's [01:10:54] Speaker B: like [01:10:56] Speaker D: here. Christian McCaffrey. [01:10:58] Speaker C: Golden. Tate [01:10:59] Speaker D: Golden. Oh, [01:11:00] Speaker B: that makes me smile. [01:11:01] Speaker D: That's nice. [01:11:02] Speaker C: I like golden tape. Pick a ball. T. More. [01:11:04] Speaker D: Wide receiver. I like that. I like that. [01:11:06] Speaker B: Tell me the number again. [01:11:08] Speaker C: 90. [01:11:09] Speaker D: Number 90. [01:11:11] Speaker B: Man. Is [01:11:11] Speaker D: there a receiver with the number 90? No, that's not a receiver. [01:11:14] Speaker C: That's like a defensive. Yeah. [01:11:16] Speaker B: Can I tell you somebody who I'm really tempted, but I don't know if I'll pull the trigger and you talk. I won't hold you [01:11:20] Speaker D: to it. As your guest, [01:11:21] Speaker B: Steve Smith is one of the answers. I'm Thinking. I feel [01:11:23] Speaker D: like he's higher than 90. I [01:11:25] Speaker B: thought so, too. Yeah. What [01:11:26] Speaker C: about Junior? [01:11:27] Speaker B: Okay. Golden Tate? [01:11:30] Speaker D: I want to go. [01:11:32] Speaker B: Who's [01:11:32] Speaker C: Golden Tate? Junior? [01:11:33] Speaker D: My first thought was, like, I'm thinking of, like, a prominent number two. Like a Chris Godwin type or like a T. Higgins type. You know, [01:11:40] Speaker C: T. Higgins. [01:11:41] Speaker D: You think he's top 100 [01:11:44] Speaker C: right now? I don't know right now. [01:11:49] Speaker D: How many years has he played? I can't even recall. What [01:11:52] Speaker C: about, like, a Julian Edelman? [01:11:54] Speaker D: He's way too high. You [01:11:55] Speaker C: think he's too high? I think [01:11:56] Speaker B: Vincent Jackson's up there. [01:11:58] Speaker D: He's on the list. [01:11:59] Speaker C: You can put some tight ends in there, like a Jason Win. [01:12:03] Speaker D: Okay? [01:12:06] Speaker C: Think about those tight ends. What about [01:12:07] Speaker D: a Bubba Frank? No, I want to go. Give me a Jordy Nelson. [01:12:14] Speaker C: Oh, I think he's gonna be too high. [01:12:16] Speaker D: Oh, you're probably right. That's [01:12:18] Speaker C: too late. You locked it in. [01:12:19] Speaker D: Okay, I'm get. I'm going Jordy. Okay. You went with Golden [01:12:22] Speaker C: Tate. [01:12:22] Speaker D: Golden Tate Marshall. There's nothing I love better than these high numbers on these. You [01:12:28] Speaker C: could pick a current player that's probably good, but hasn't been in the league very long. [01:12:33] Speaker D: Yeah, yeah, yeah. [01:12:34] Speaker C: Like, you could go jsn. I bet he's on that somewhere. [01:12:37] Speaker D: He might be at this point, but he's only in, like, his third year. [01:12:41] Speaker C: Exactly. See what I'm saying? I know. See what I'm saying? I know what [01:12:45] Speaker D: you're saying. You need a name. [01:12:49] Speaker C: Justin Jefferson. He's probably too high at this point, but. [01:12:53] Speaker D: Yeah. Never [01:12:53] Speaker C: know. He hasn't been in the league that long. [01:12:56] Speaker D: Right, right, right. I'm [01:12:57] Speaker B: struggling, guys. I'm struggling. [01:13:04] Speaker C: Jason Ertz. [01:13:06] Speaker D: Zachary. [01:13:09] Speaker B: Now you're just throwing me off my game. [01:13:12] Speaker C: Got her. [01:13:13] Speaker B: You guys fill in this time. I [01:13:14] Speaker D: wanna. [01:13:14] Speaker C: You're gonna have to pick. I want you to get Doug Wall, [01:13:17] Speaker B: but Doug Baldwin. [01:13:18] Speaker D: Doug Baldwald. Baldwin. All [01:13:19] Speaker B: right. [01:13:20] Speaker D: Number 90 is actually Shannon Sharp. Look at that. I told you, not a receiver. Okay. [01:13:28] Speaker B: I almost went. Jason Whitten. Just because [01:13:29] Speaker C: I'm, [01:13:29] Speaker B: like. I had no idea what to do. [01:13:32] Speaker D: All right, [01:13:32] Speaker B: Doug Baldwin, Golden Tate, and Jordy Nelson. Yeah, we're catching a theme. [01:13:37] Speaker D: Okay, okay. Maybe [01:13:39] Speaker C: I'm not even on this list. [01:13:40] Speaker D: There's so many. [01:13:40] Speaker B: I hope you're not on. [01:13:41] Speaker D: There's so many amazing names on here. Ian De [01:13:44] Speaker B: Witts on this list. We have a problem with this? [01:13:47] Speaker C: That'd be incredible. [01:13:48] Speaker D: I went with Jordy. He's 47. [01:13:50] Speaker C: That's not bad on the list. Okay, he's [01:13:52] Speaker D: actually up there. But I was way off, [01:13:55] Speaker B: considering none of us are on the board. [01:13:59] Speaker C: You haven't even Doug [01:14:00] Speaker B: Baldwin and Golden Tate. Just think of Golden Tate doing those flips into the end zone. [01:14:06] Speaker C: There was a lot. I would have thought he would have been on this list. [01:14:10] Speaker B: That's a good guess. It made me smile. [01:14:12] Speaker D: I like it. I like it. [01:14:13] Speaker C: I thought it would have been, like, high, but not too high. [01:14:15] Speaker B: What about Charles? Charles or Calvin Johnson? [01:14:18] Speaker C: Kelvin Johnson. Calvin Johnson. He'd be like, [01:14:22] Speaker B: look, it was easy. Come on. You guys are too easy. I [01:14:24] Speaker C: mean, at that point, I would take him because at least he'd be on the list. [01:14:29] Speaker B: You just made the list. [01:14:31] Speaker D: Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. Calvin Johnson is number 29. I would have expected better. [01:14:36] Speaker C: Well, he was a short career. [01:14:39] Speaker D: Who else am I looking for? Oh, Golden Tate and Doug Baldwin. [01:14:43] Speaker B: Yeah. Come on. These are great. [01:14:47] Speaker D: I'm not seeing them on the. [01:14:50] Speaker C: Do you need me to check it? [01:14:51] Speaker B: And check this out [01:14:54] Speaker C: now it's like a who's closer? [01:14:58] Speaker D: Yeah. Golden [01:14:59] Speaker C: Tate receiving touchdowns. I'm kind of curious to see where he's at. [01:15:05] Speaker D: Yeah. Because the lowest on the list has 60 career receiving touchdowns. Gene Washington and Elroy Hirsch and Drew Hill and Brandon Cooks. [01:15:17] Speaker B: Wow. Golden Tate, 107. I'm sorry. Yes. 107th. Doug Baldwin, 198. [01:15:24] Speaker C: Okay. Wow. I at least get second place on that because I was. We're just both [01:15:28] Speaker B: off the board. I think. [01:15:29] Speaker C: What I. 107 to 90. I'm actually closer to him than the Kyle was even when he was on the board. [01:15:37] Speaker B: We're both off the board. [01:15:39] Speaker C: I. I rebuttal. 107 to 90. I'm the closest [01:15:44] Speaker D: off the board. It's not top one on. [01:15:47] Speaker C: I feel like this needs to go. Do [01:15:49] Speaker B: you want to put it to [01:15:49] Speaker C: a vote? [01:15:50] Speaker B: Let's put it on a vote. [01:15:51] Speaker C: No, because you guys are going to say [01:15:53] Speaker B: not on the list. All right, what's our next? [01:15:56] Speaker C: You were a country. Give us our number [01:15:58] Speaker B: over here. [01:16:00] Speaker D: We need. [01:16:01] Speaker C: This is. I want the people to. To write it 1 [01:16:04] Speaker B: to 30. [01:16:05] Speaker D: 1 to 30. Number between 130 [01:16:07] Speaker C: people respond. I feel wrong. He's [01:16:10] Speaker B: gonna be texting Addison so quickly after this. [01:16:13] Speaker C: 27. [01:16:15] Speaker D: Okay. This is state NFL stadiums ranked by age. Oldest to youngest. I think oldest. No. Or no, wait. I think it's newest to newest to oldest. [01:16:27] Speaker C: So newest is number one. [01:16:28] Speaker D: Newest. The newest stadium, presumably high mark would be the newest stadium. And then the Soldier Field list. So what is the number we got again? 20. 27. Okay, so we're going for the 27th oldest or [01:16:42] Speaker B: you're looking for an older stadium compared to a newer. [01:16:44] Speaker C: Right. I know what the 30th one is, [01:16:46] Speaker D: which is [01:16:47] Speaker C: a Soldier Field. I'm pretty sure. [01:16:49] Speaker D: Okay. [01:16:50] Speaker B: Oh, okay. I figured it was old. I didn't know if it's oldest. [01:16:53] Speaker C: I think it's the oldest. [01:16:54] Speaker B: Okay. That makes me feel happy. Okay, I'm in. What else is safe area [01:16:56] Speaker D: in the ballpark, then? So you're sticking. You're sticking [01:16:59] Speaker B: with Soldier. Locking those. [01:17:00] Speaker C: You're saying I had [01:17:02] Speaker B: Soldier Field. I already took it. [01:17:03] Speaker C: Lambo's got to be pretty close. [01:17:05] Speaker D: Yeah. [01:17:05] Speaker C: Is this not because Lambo's been around? [01:17:08] Speaker D: It's an oldie. [01:17:09] Speaker C: It's. I think I'll go Lambo, then. [01:17:11] Speaker D: Okay, then I'll go. [01:17:14] Speaker B: Come on. We need [01:17:15] Speaker D: a picture. [01:17:16] Speaker B: We need a [01:17:16] Speaker D: picture. Something else. I'll go this. Whatever the Saints stadium is. [01:17:21] Speaker C: The Superdome. Is that. What [01:17:24] Speaker D: is it? [01:17:25] Speaker B: Yeah, [01:17:26] Speaker C: I think it's the Superdome. [01:17:28] Speaker D: You said 27. [01:17:29] Speaker C: Yeah, [01:17:29] Speaker B: 27 is. [01:17:30] Speaker D: I was right. Caesar's Superdome is 51 years old. And [01:17:36] Speaker B: is it number 27? [01:17:37] Speaker D: It is number 27. [01:17:38] Speaker C: What? [01:17:39] Speaker D: Lambo is 29. Soldier is 30. Told [01:17:42] Speaker C: you on that one, though. [01:17:43] Speaker D: 102 years. [01:17:46] Speaker C: I knew Soldier was old. That's like a historical venue that. I can't believe. They want to get rid of it. [01:17:50] Speaker D: 69 years for Lambo. The one in between Arrowhead Stadiums. 54 years. [01:17:55] Speaker C: I thought about Arrowhead. I didn't realize that was that old, though. I thought it was a little. [01:17:59] Speaker B: Our last category. Last [01:18:01] Speaker D: category, we need 32. A number between one and 32. [01:18:05] Speaker C: It tells me this is about teams. [01:18:07] Speaker D: What gave that away? [01:18:09] Speaker B: Or it could be current coaches and their winning [01:18:13] Speaker C: percentage. Number two. [01:18:14] Speaker D: This is franchises by years without a name or location change, fewest to most. [01:18:26] Speaker B: So now it's bad. You're going to, like, peek at number one now? [01:18:32] Speaker D: No, no, no. Yeah, yeah, yeah, I think it is. What number did you say? [01:18:39] Speaker C: Two. [01:18:39] Speaker D: Two. [01:18:40] Speaker C: So quite high on this list. [01:18:42] Speaker B: I'm trying to figure out. Say it again. [01:18:44] Speaker D: I think the most recent changes would be at the top, and the longest remaining. The same would be at the bottom. [01:18:54] Speaker C: Is this name and location changes [01:18:58] Speaker D: or either one? [01:18:59] Speaker B: Pittsburgh Steelers. [01:19:02] Speaker C: No, but number one would be the newest change, [01:19:07] Speaker D: correct? [01:19:08] Speaker B: Oh, I'm sorry. [01:19:09] Speaker D: A name or location change would be high. [01:19:13] Speaker B: Washington Commanders. [01:19:14] Speaker D: So those. That would be the most recent. Okay. Because of the name change. That's number one. So you said number two is the right number. Do you want to guess what number two is? [01:19:24] Speaker C: Well, no, it's gonna be. Would they be Sharing this. I'm trying because the Chargers and the Rams moved at the same time, but there's also the Raiders. Right, right, [01:19:38] Speaker B: right. Oh, you just made me smile there. There's a lot of names right there that all are all together. [01:19:43] Speaker C: Right. Because I'm thinking that. I'm trying to remember who went first. [01:19:48] Speaker D: I [01:19:48] Speaker B: think the Rams were before those ones. So I think it's between Raiders and Chargers. [01:19:54] Speaker C: I think the Raiders were more recent. I'll say Raiders. [01:19:58] Speaker D: Okay. Okay. [01:20:01] Speaker B: Is Kyle gonna take Chargers or is he gonna go off the board? [01:20:04] Speaker D: No, I think that I. Am I forgetting something? No, I think. I think Chargers is the right answer. [01:20:15] Speaker B: Next. [01:20:15] Speaker D: Okay, let's see. Okay. I was. I had it backwards. [01:20:24] Speaker B: Oh, okay. Can we go and. We don't know the answers right now. You haven't looked at. Yeah, you just. [01:20:29] Speaker D: I just looked. [01:20:30] Speaker B: Okay, [01:20:30] Speaker D: we'll just. We'll just kind of. [01:20:32] Speaker B: Can you pretend like it's. It's 0 to 32? Yeah. [01:20:37] Speaker D: So in this case, we. We're. We were all there. Ian was right. So Raiders have. It's been six years since they moved in. 2020. [01:20:48] Speaker B: Okay, I'm gonna start counting [01:20:50] Speaker D: commanders. It's been four years since 2022. And the Chargers. It has been nine years since 2017. [01:20:57] Speaker C: Where are the Rams then? Are they 10? 10 [01:20:59] Speaker D: years? [01:20:59] Speaker C: 10 years. So they did that the year before and then the Chargers followed them [01:21:03] Speaker D: over. Right, right, right. Yeah. Some of these older ones would be very hard [01:21:07] Speaker C: because I think the Rams moved before the stadium was finished and they played at the old LA Coliseum. [01:21:18] Speaker D: Oh. Oh, okay. [01:21:19] Speaker C: I think they played at least some games there. [01:21:22] Speaker D: Is that right before. So far. Okay. Right. [01:21:25] Speaker B: Is that right? I'm gonna have to tabulate these numbers. How about we do our upset pick and our. [01:21:34] Speaker D: All right, I'll take the wheel while you focus on that. My lack of the week. I'm locking in the Seattle Seahawks crushing their division rival, the Arizona Cardinals. Do you guys know that in. We are very, like, much on the cusp of the halfway point in the season, so these sorts of statements are no longer silly and ridicul, but if the playoffs started today, this. There's a lot of interesting teams that would be in and out. Many of them would be fun to talk about. The most interesting. The super bowl champion ca. Al Seahawks and the Los Angeles Rams would be out of the playoffs. Playoffs. [01:22:08] Speaker C: Wow. [01:22:09] Speaker D: They would not even be in the playoffs because the four division winners would be in and the rest of the NFC north would be in. [01:22:17] Speaker C: Yeah. And Seattle's getting their butt kicked. Right Now. So. [01:22:20] Speaker D: Yeah, I [01:22:20] Speaker B: like to hear [01:22:21] Speaker D: so very interesting stuff. But anyway, I'm locking in the Seahawks over the Cardinals. I think they're gonna bounce back in a big way next week over the Cardinals. [01:22:28] Speaker C: Okay. I'm gonna take Detroit, who has been coming on strong. I think they showed against the best defense in the league what their offense is capable of as they just ran all crazy things that. Yeah, it was. We didn't really talk about this. Vikings defense had a 90 blitz rate against the Lions. [01:22:54] Speaker D: That's absurd. [01:22:55] Speaker C: But only 24 of that was actually getting any sort of pressure the second half. The Lions, I think their offense, they started running away with it. [01:23:04] Speaker D: Yeah. [01:23:05] Speaker C: The score line doesn't show how in control they got in that game. [01:23:11] Speaker D: It wasn't a big passing game. It wasn't. But the run game was working. [01:23:14] Speaker C: Yeah. Which is what they're going to be. So Detroit over Miami, to say the least. [01:23:18] Speaker B: And my lock is Jacksonville over the Ravens. My upset pick will be the packers over the Patriots. I was surprised to see the Patriots were favored. [01:23:26] Speaker D: Very nice. [01:23:27] Speaker C: It's a tight game. [01:23:29] Speaker D: Yeah. We didn't even talk about on the pod the fact that Christian Watson in the Packers Panthers Thursday night game left the game after catching a 53 yard pass from Jordan Love. Big explosive play, was coughing up blood. Left the game, was taken to the hospital. [01:23:45] Speaker C: Yeah. [01:23:46] Speaker D: Checked out, came back [01:23:49] Speaker C: broken up. I think is all they diagnosed him with. [01:23:53] Speaker D: They. They said he was totally cleared. Came back in the third quarter and it leaves in the second quarter, goes to the hospital, is back on the field. Not in the third quarter. [01:24:03] Speaker C: Many players get to run out in the middle of a game of a tunnel by themselves. And he got that privilege. And I will say the media knew exactly what they were doing when they followed him out. [01:24:17] Speaker D: Oh, yeah. [01:24:18] Speaker C: And it was very cool. Player that I remember this happening with was when Lamar ran back out after his poop break. [01:24:30] Speaker D: A little less glamorous. [01:24:32] Speaker C: People thought it was injury. I [01:24:33] Speaker D: know. Really. I know. [01:24:35] Speaker C: This isn't about being injured [01:24:36] Speaker B: results. [01:24:37] Speaker C: This is poop prone. [01:24:38] Speaker B: Let's hear your upset pick though. First Ian [01:24:40] Speaker C: Cleveland over the Saints. Not much to say in [01:24:42] Speaker B: case you get upset here. [01:24:44] Speaker D: My upset is the Eagles beating the New York Giants. [01:24:46] Speaker B: Oh, [01:24:47] Speaker C: good luck with that. [01:24:48] Speaker B: You believe in Tanner McKe? [01:24:50] Speaker D: Yeah, of course. [01:24:53] Speaker B: Over JJ? [01:24:54] Speaker D: Yeah. [01:24:55] Speaker B: Okay. [01:24:55] Speaker C: Saquon Barkley, [01:24:58] Speaker D: bow back. [01:24:59] Speaker C: Sure. [01:25:00] Speaker B: All right, guys, [01:25:01] Speaker D: what's the result? Who gets the shirt? [01:25:04] Speaker C: I probably do. I didn't feel like I was very good. [01:25:06] Speaker B: What do you feel? What's your prediction? [01:25:08] Speaker D: I actually have no idea. I was really [01:25:09] Speaker C: not Kyle. [01:25:10] Speaker D: I feel like each of us was off the board a couple times. [01:25:13] Speaker C: Kyle won. I think I got last. [01:25:15] Speaker B: You're talking to the winner right now. I won with 19. [01:25:19] Speaker C: This is rigged [01:25:20] Speaker D: nicely. [01:25:21] Speaker B: Kyle is in second with 18. Oh, yeah. And in last place, for our whole next episode of the Pod, we'll be wearing the jersey Ian DeWitt. [01:25:32] Speaker C: What was my points? [01:25:33] Speaker B: 16. [01:25:34] Speaker D: That's pretty close. [01:25:35] Speaker C: It's close. [01:25:35] Speaker D: Yeah. Yeah. [01:25:37] Speaker B: And if it makes you feel any [01:25:38] Speaker C: better, I would like a recount. [01:25:39] Speaker B: I'll show you the. I'll show you the score later because the. In the effect of, like, our last game where it was, Kyle and I both were like, number one and number three, and you were number two in the middle. We each got one point. [01:25:54] Speaker D: Yeah, [01:25:55] Speaker B: one point. And then you got two and the same thing for one. We were both off the board. [01:25:58] Speaker D: Okay, [01:25:59] Speaker B: I got one point. One point. And he. I [01:26:01] Speaker D: want to get. I want to have, like, a guest co host one of these days and, like, play more of this game with someone else we know who wants to come in, someone who knows ball a little bit, who can. Because we've got 25 pages now of categories [01:26:13] Speaker B: next [01:26:13] Speaker C: week. Categories [01:26:14] Speaker B: next week. Ian won't be in here, so I [01:26:17] Speaker C: will not [01:26:17] Speaker B: be. I might try and recruit somebody, [01:26:19] Speaker D: see if we can get a ball knower who wants to come in, talk football with us, play this game. We [01:26:24] Speaker B: might have to move our timeline up in the day a little bit sooner. [01:26:27] Speaker D: That's hard for my schedule. But we'll talk something. [01:26:29] Speaker B: You [01:26:30] Speaker D: know, [01:26:30] Speaker C: you should reach out to Tim DeWitt. [01:26:33] Speaker D: There we go. [01:26:34] Speaker B: Holy crap. [01:26:36] Speaker D: That'd be a lot of fun. [01:26:37] Speaker C: I would love. You know what? If you're listening to this show, [01:26:39] Speaker D: if you even want to just call in to play the show on the phone. We're recording on Monday nights. Hit us up. [01:26:51] Speaker B: I want to thank you for listening to the point after. Send it to your friend, send to your family, send it to your least favorite person that always leaves fish in the microwave or who doesn't label their stuff inside the fridge at work. There's a communal fridge here for Kyle's co. Working space. And a lot of rules with this fridge. I mean, you got to have things in a certain area. Don't put things in a shelf. Don't put it in a drawer. Work. It's very, very complicated. And, yeah, I don't know a lot of. A lot of unwritten rules. Some of them look like they're written and guys, Ian's putting the jersey on right now, and it fits like a glove for him. It's almost like it was made for you. [01:27:40] Speaker C: Feel like I'm wearing a dress. [01:27:41] Speaker B: Really? It looks great on you. Good distance, good length. Crazy. All right, guys, take care.
