[00:00:01] Speaker A: Welcome to the Point after show with Kyle Mauer, Marshall hesla, and Ian DeWitt.
[00:00:06] Speaker B: This is the show where the guys
[00:00:07] Speaker A: attempt to pick the winners of the weekly NFL games, along with some healthy
[00:00:10] Speaker B: debate about current topics.
[00:00:13] Speaker A: Let's go.
[00:00:14] Speaker B: Yo, bro.
[00:00:14] Speaker A: What's going on, man?
[00:00:15] Speaker B: What up, my man?
[00:00:16] Speaker A: It's the two dudes.
[00:00:18] Speaker B: Yeah, the dynamic duo.
[00:00:20] Speaker A: I know.
[00:00:20] Speaker B: As they're saying in podcast land, listeners have been raving about the combo of the two tallest, skinniest dudes.
[00:00:28] Speaker A: We are both tall and skinny. How tall are you actually?
[00:00:31] Speaker B: I don't know.
[00:00:32] Speaker A: Your height?
[00:00:33] Speaker B: Ish.
[00:00:33] Speaker A: I mean, we're pretty close. I'm like six three and a half six.
[00:00:36] Speaker B: Definitely more than six two, but I don't think I'm six five.
[00:00:39] Speaker A: I don't think I'm quite six five, but I think I'm a. I'm. I think six. Four is what I normally weigh in at.
[00:00:47] Speaker B: I feel like I probably got £20 on you, though.
[00:00:50] Speaker A: You. You definitely weigh more than me. I don't have.
[00:00:53] Speaker B: You don't have to. You don't have to say that.
[00:00:56] Speaker A: Your left butt cheek.
Okay.
[00:01:00] Speaker B: Okay. I feel like I should make a bet, like, how many. I'm probably £25.
[00:01:06] Speaker A: Do you know how much you weigh?
[00:01:07] Speaker B: I actually. I never step on a scale, but I walked by a guy in the gym the other day, and he was weighing himself and he.
He was acting confused. And he's kind of character, actually. I think he was just playing a bit with me, but he's like, I'm not going to impersonate his accent, but he had a strong accent. And he's like, is it. What does this mean? Is this good?
And he was like, 204. And I was like, yeah, man, that's great. That's solid. Lots of guys want to get down to 204.
And he was like, I don't know. I don't know. I don't believe you. You get on. What are you. And so I did step on the scale.
[00:01:41] Speaker A: How long ago was this?
[00:01:42] Speaker B: This was last week.
[00:01:44] Speaker A: All right, so this is relatively.
[00:01:46] Speaker B: Relatively recent.
And I'm pretty sure I remember it was like 1 93.
[00:01:54] Speaker A: 193.
[00:01:55] Speaker B: No, wait, no, it was less. It was under 190 because I remarked on that. I think it was. I might have it. No, it wasn't 183. Okay. It was sub 190, but above 185.
[00:02:06] Speaker A: I think I would have to actually get on a scale.
[00:02:10] Speaker B: I don't what I'm doing this whole thing. And you don't even know what you weigh.
[00:02:15] Speaker A: The last time I got on a scale, it's gonna about a little north of 155.
[00:02:22] Speaker B: 55. Okay, so you're so. Oh, so we're all.
[00:02:26] Speaker A: But that.
[00:02:27] Speaker B: That's over. That's more than £30 over difference.
[00:02:31] Speaker A: You were close, though.
[00:02:32] Speaker B: Okay, I was in the ballpark this in 25, but I.
[00:02:36] Speaker A: That was a little bit ago. I feel like I've gained weight, but
[00:02:42] Speaker B: not like it's the dad pounds, man. I've got two kids now.
[00:02:46] Speaker A: It's not going to the gut, though. I don't have a gut.
[00:02:49] Speaker B: Okay, where's it going?
[00:02:51] Speaker A: The butt. The butt.
I am feeling it. I. Sometimes I sit down and I'm like, there's a little bit more cushion there than there used to be.
[00:03:03] Speaker B: That's not a bad thing.
[00:03:04] Speaker A: I've always wanted a bigger butt.
[00:03:06] Speaker B: I mean, what's it. One of the. Like, there's so many things that we don't really get to complain about because. Because sad tramp on for us, but like, sometimes for guys like us, we gotta sit on a bleacher or something or like a metal folding chair or something. It's awful. Like bone on metal.
Going to the big house and watching those Michigan games, sitting on those bleachers.
[00:03:28] Speaker A: People need to feel bad for us.
[00:03:29] Speaker B: It's terrible. You should feel some sympathy.
[00:03:31] Speaker A: What's going on?
[00:03:32] Speaker B: Dudes like us, man.
[00:03:35] Speaker A: This is what people come for.
[00:03:36] Speaker B: The POD for struggle is real. Yes.
[00:03:38] Speaker A: I don't even have a question of the day. Now that we've talked about this, we could say, what's your big. Your. Your best way to like work out? Like, what do you. What do you do for a workout to keep your physique? Since we're on physique, like, what's your go to workout?
[00:03:55] Speaker B: Yeah. I don't think I otherwise lead a very healthy lifestyle. I mean, I've. I keep fairly active out of necessity. Eat a lot of Oreos and drink a lot of beer. But yes, other than that, which is
[00:04:06] Speaker A: amazing that that hasn't gone right to the other butt cheek.
[00:04:09] Speaker B: I. I know, I know. It's just the one.
[00:04:12] Speaker A: It's quite a.
[00:04:15] Speaker B: But I play basketball. That's how I really get my cardio. I play basket usually a few days a week, if I can, for like a couple hours of time. And I play pretty hard.
And that's. That's the best thing for me. I used to try and go to the gym and do like a little workout, like on the machines. Lift the Weights and stuff. I did that a lot for a lot of years, but it's always a chore. It's so boring. I get on the treadmill, like, oh, this is forever. It's been four minutes. This is crazy. I'm just gonna go back to work. I can't even. My brain just can't even suffer through a long workout. I barely work up a sweat before I'm looking at the clock until I discover playing pickup basketball with a bunch of dudes and suddenly I can't. I don't even. The time flies by and I don't wanna leave.
[00:04:58] Speaker A: There you go. That's healthy.
[00:05:00] Speaker B: Find a thing that's fun for you.
[00:05:01] Speaker A: That's good cardio.
[00:05:03] Speaker B: Real good.
[00:05:04] Speaker A: I got a rowing machine.
[00:05:07] Speaker B: Did you really? When did this happen?
[00:05:09] Speaker A: Maybe like a month ago.
[00:05:11] Speaker B: Okay. Okay. Still in the honeymoon phase?
[00:05:13] Speaker A: Still in the honeymoon. Food. So. So I'll hop on that thing for about 30 minutes in the morning.
[00:05:17] Speaker B: Every morning. Okay.
[00:05:19] Speaker A: Most mornings.
[00:05:20] Speaker B: Okay. Most. Some mornings.
[00:05:23] Speaker A: The occasional morning.
[00:05:25] Speaker B: A morning
[00:05:27] Speaker A: for five minutes.
[00:05:31] Speaker B: You're a legend.
[00:05:33] Speaker A: It started off actually a lot more smooth, but then it's.
The first time I got on it, I was like, this is easy. This is not that hard. I don't know what people are on about, but once you get going, it's hard. Like, okay. It's a lot more cardio than you've
[00:05:52] Speaker B: really not done a lot of time on a rowing machine. I don't know. I don't know what you experience.
[00:05:55] Speaker A: For the first couple times I did it, I had to really focus on my, like, position of my body so that way I didn't mess up my back or like, do something incorrectly. Because you don't want to do something wrong.
[00:06:08] Speaker B: Right.
[00:06:08] Speaker A: Get used to doing it the wrong way and then have to, like, unlearn it. Okay. And you'd think just like, it's just a rowing machine. But like, you got to keep your back straight. You gotta, like, do things in a certain order.
[00:06:18] Speaker B: How's your body feeling the rest of the day if you really hit it hard?
[00:06:21] Speaker A: If I really hit it hard, mostly fine.
[00:06:26] Speaker B: Right. What parts of your body are like, feeling it?
[00:06:29] Speaker A: My shoulders.
[00:06:30] Speaker B: Okay.
[00:06:30] Speaker A: I think you're the part that I have felt it the most.
I got it initially because I wanted low, like a low impact workout for my legs because of obviously my ACL tear from.
Excuse me. A little while ago, like 2. A year and a half ago, I guess now.
And I wanted something like low impact on my knees.
So that way I didn't feel like, you know, I was, you know, gonna hurt myself all over again. Pull Jaden Danielson.
[00:07:03] Speaker B: Oh, no.
Yeah. You went there.
[00:07:06] Speaker A: We did. I mean, we had. I thought that was a seamless transition.
[00:07:10] Speaker B: That was perfect. Let's talk football.
[00:07:12] Speaker A: Yeah.
[00:07:13] Speaker B: Jaden Daniels. Tragic.
[00:07:15] Speaker A: And Caleb Williams, although he's his. Sounds like he's going to be back a lot sooner than Jaden Daniels because they. They said he's officially week to week, so that's not season ending. I don't know if Jaden Daniels is season ending, but that looked bad.
[00:07:32] Speaker B: I probably would shock no one if it was.
[00:07:35] Speaker A: Yeah. I mean, it's the same arm with the same dislocation.
Oh, my gosh.
[00:07:43] Speaker B: This is crazy.
[00:07:44] Speaker A: This is.
[00:07:44] Speaker B: This is becoming a tragic tale. The. The Jaden Daniels experience.
[00:07:47] Speaker A: Not like anybody's gonna trust Washington's health staff over there.
Not after RG3.
[00:07:54] Speaker B: Oh, my Go. Good.
[00:07:55] Speaker A: I know. Different regimes, obviously, but still. It's a funny joke.
[00:07:59] Speaker B: Yeah. Tragic joke, really. I know it works, but I gotta. I feel for the fans of the franchise.
[00:08:06] Speaker A: That's hard.
[00:08:06] Speaker B: I talked two years ago about how I felt really great for them. Like, they have had very little to cheer for. Like, what's been exciting for that team for decades. You know, I mean, occasionally they're, like, competitive. Every franchise is competitive sometimes. But, you know, there was a sp. There was that RG3 brief window where things were a little bit exciting and you feel proud to be a fan of the team.
[00:08:34] Speaker A: Yeah.
[00:08:35] Speaker B: But it felt like Jaden Daniels is here. Like, you just drafted the Heisman and he's living up to the, like, his
[00:08:41] Speaker A: first year, the NFC championship. I mean, incredible.
[00:08:44] Speaker B: Straight to the NFC Championship.
[00:08:46] Speaker A: Sky's the limit.
[00:08:46] Speaker B: Incredible. You finally got rid of the.
I'm always. I'm already forgetting that. Oh, was it Snyder? Snyder, yeah. The owner finally got rid of the, like, at the time. Probably the worst owner in football and new ownership, franchise quarterback. A lot to hope for.
And, man, look at what's happening.
[00:09:10] Speaker A: Yeah. How many times he was out for, like, what, half of last year with that injury?
[00:09:16] Speaker B: I think I feel like it was more than that.
[00:09:18] Speaker A: And he did. He played last week.
And so then second game back.
Re. Injures it.
[00:09:25] Speaker B: Terrible.
[00:09:26] Speaker A: It was awful, too. And all he did was put his arm back to. To hold his body up.
Like he barely did anything.
[00:09:36] Speaker B: Poor kid.
[00:09:36] Speaker A: I know. And that's just like. Got to be one of those things where you're like, oh, man, Third year.
[00:09:43] Speaker B: Yeah.
[00:09:43] Speaker A: Second injury.
I don't know, man. That's going to be if it happens, like a Third time. I mean, that's got to be so concerning for like the franchise because it's like, I mean, how do you justify resigning a guy that's going to constantly be injured?
[00:10:00] Speaker B: Yeah, you got to be on the field for us to. But, but the talent is just so high. Like it just seemed like such a good guy who's talented in every dimension that a quarterback needs to be, that the team loves, the fans love, everything's going up.
[00:10:16] Speaker A: I'm not willing to, to like sell stock on him just because of this though, because we've seen a lot of quarterbacks, especially younger guys, get those Oreos.
Those younger guys have like injury prone early seasons and then they bulk up and then they deal with it. Like Stafford, I think his first or second season dislocated his shoulder.
[00:10:42] Speaker B: Right.
[00:10:42] Speaker A: Had consistent problems and then bulked up like he got big and he hasn't really had a lot of problems since.
[00:10:52] Speaker B: Right, right.
[00:10:53] Speaker A: You know, Joe Burrow's been kind of in and out. Lamar has been kind of in and out.
You know, I don't think anybody would sell stock on them either. So. No, it's still too early. The dudas thin for the NFL. I will say.
[00:11:11] Speaker B: Yeah, that's a fair, fair comment, I think.
[00:11:14] Speaker A: I'm not saying that's got to do with a bad elbow frick. I know.
[00:11:19] Speaker B: But it might take a little time though. But his body will change a little bit again. He's still very young.
[00:11:23] Speaker A: Yeah. And that's. That would be probably the thing that I would. If I was like Jane Dan's. I'd be like, I gotta focus on like, how do I make sure this doesn't happen consistently. He's got to focus on himself. So that way he is like a sustainable force for any team, I would say.
[00:11:42] Speaker B: I'm not a big fan of his, their roster otherwise. Honestly, like, even with him playing at his best, I don't think this team has a high ceiling currently constructed. So.
[00:11:54] Speaker A: I mean, they were struggling against Dallas even with him out there.
[00:11:57] Speaker B: Right, right. Yeah, they've. I mean, they've still struggled with like, I, I feel like they've overpaid a lot of veterans and put together this kind of like unsustainable team and it's not great. I don't think that they've drafted particularly well. It's not like a total disaster, one of the worst teams, but I don't think it's a high ceiling team and.
[00:12:18] Speaker A: But they got scary. Terry.
Terry McClure's great.
[00:12:21] Speaker B: He is really good. Stefan Diggs oh, gosh, he's so good.
[00:12:27] Speaker A: He had a catch, too, I think. I think he had a touchdown in that game.
[00:12:31] Speaker B: Does Odell have a catch yet?
[00:12:35] Speaker A: Well, he's playing as we speak, so, yeah. I don't know how we.
[00:12:40] Speaker B: I don't think we even brought it up last week.
[00:12:42] Speaker A: I actually forgot that he was on the giants.
[00:12:45] Speaker B: Odell Beckham Jr. Is an active player on the New York Giants again, which I find to be a beautiful story. And I think that, like, on the day when he actually does have an impact play, it's gonna be electric in that stadium.
[00:12:58] Speaker A: Odell's kind of a funny case. He has probably one of the most iconic catches in NFL history, especially in the modern era.
That pretty much set him up for life, that one catch.
[00:13:11] Speaker B: Don't discount the significance of his first couple of seasons.
[00:13:15] Speaker A: He was obviously. He was a great.
[00:13:18] Speaker B: He was elite.
[00:13:19] Speaker A: He was very good. I don't.
[00:13:20] Speaker B: You're right, man. Watching some of him as an opponent, the. He was like prime. Odell was like, on another level. He was faster than everybody. He was catching passes, running around these safeties and DBs. He was just always open, could catch anything. It was incredible.
[00:13:35] Speaker A: And he's got a Super bowl ring.
And this season he was. He came in with the Rams.
He was helpful. It wasn't like he was some insignificant scrub.
[00:13:46] Speaker B: Very true.
[00:13:47] Speaker A: He was an impact player. And he, you know, it was a. A bummer to. To what? He. Did he tear his acl?
[00:13:55] Speaker B: I don't remember a specific injury.
[00:13:57] Speaker A: He did something in the Super Bowl.
[00:14:00] Speaker B: Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. That's kind of the last that we saw of him that I recall, anyway.
[00:14:05] Speaker A: Well, he went to the Ravens. Was it last year? The year before, yeah.
[00:14:09] Speaker B: And that was kind of insignificant.
[00:14:11] Speaker A: It was. He didn't really add anything to the team.
[00:14:14] Speaker B: Yeah.
[00:14:14] Speaker A: Unless they're like, I don't know, sometimes he's kind of at that point where maybe he's add something to the locker room. They kind of bring in those veterans to do that.
[00:14:21] Speaker B: Yeah.
[00:14:22] Speaker A: I don't actually know.
[00:14:24] Speaker B: Right.
Yeah.
[00:14:26] Speaker A: Locker room.
[00:14:28] Speaker B: Raven's one of those low key, all time worst wide receiver teams in the league ever.
[00:14:35] Speaker A: Like, is that why they lost through the Saints?
[00:14:39] Speaker B: Zay Flowers did get hurt in the first game.
[00:14:41] Speaker A: Yeah.
[00:14:42] Speaker B: I'm not sure if he's back, so that's. Yeah, they're noteworthy.
[00:14:46] Speaker A: Yes.
Well, I have some takes from Tim DeWitt. I don't know if we want to go through a couple of these 100.
[00:14:53] Speaker B: We want. We want to hear from our Dear listener, Tim DeWitt.
[00:14:56] Speaker A: Okay. Do we have any more takes? Did you get any? I don't know. Because we have.
Normally Marshall brings in a. A good slew of takes from people from his work and his connections. We've been missing him the last two weeks.
[00:15:09] Speaker B: Great.
[00:15:10] Speaker A: So I just got tinned wit.
[00:15:12] Speaker B: Okay, that's perfect.
[00:15:13] Speaker A: We'll go.
[00:15:13] Speaker B: Fine.
[00:15:14] Speaker A: We'll.
[00:15:14] Speaker B: We'll work that.
[00:15:15] Speaker A: Is the Vikings defense for real?
Yeah, 100% are for real.
[00:15:20] Speaker B: It is. I don't.
[00:15:21] Speaker A: They're. Are they the best team in the NFC North?
[00:15:24] Speaker B: Ooh, that's hard.
A Carson Wentz led Vikings.
Wow.
A strange sight to behold. And I hope Kyler is not out for the whole season because I was really interested in seeing that. I think a lot of us were like, what's this going to look like? This. Could this be different than his time in Arizona? Like this is a much more function. This will be the best team that he's gotten to play with. Could.
Could this be different? I want to see it. I really want to see it.
We've seen a lot of Carson Wentz.
[00:15:53] Speaker A: We still might see it. He was. I think it was just a concussion. Right?
Is what the official ruling was.
[00:16:00] Speaker B: I thought so. Yeah. Yeah.
[00:16:01] Speaker A: So he'll probably be back at some point.
[00:16:03] Speaker B: I hope so. There's no guarantee. It's going to be awesome.
[00:16:06] Speaker A: I didn't watch most of the Bears game, but when I did finally come in, I mean six three was at the point the score and it looked like it was that way before Caleb went out even mid fourth quarter. Right.
So. And it was raining a lot. It looked like so clearly a. Just a dirty duty. Yeah.
We're back in the 70s kind of football game.
Where's Walter Payton's out there?
[00:16:36] Speaker B: To Tim's question, I absolutely believe that the Vikings defense. The Vikings defense has been pretty consistent,
[00:16:43] Speaker A: but they were getting really good down the stretch last year.
[00:16:47] Speaker B: I think Brian Flores is the best defensive coordinator in the league.
To my point. How many defensive players on the Vikings can you name?
[00:16:56] Speaker A: Van Ginkel.
[00:16:58] Speaker B: Thank you. Okay. That's something.
[00:17:00] Speaker A: Mostly because it's a great name. Yeah, that's a. Van Ginkel is a solid name.
[00:17:08] Speaker B: You're right. You're right.
I love that. But the point is that's the only
[00:17:13] Speaker A: one I got though.
[00:17:14] Speaker B: B Flow is one of those guys you can give any defensive roster to. And he's gonna. The floor is very high and he's gonna bring at the absolute best. And seeing him go head to head against Brian Johnston. I mean Ben Johnson. Ben Johnson Why did I. Brian Ben Johnson like the. The who just put up 59 last week and to hold them to three.
Unbelievable.
[00:17:42] Speaker A: Own house.
[00:17:43] Speaker B: That's amazing. Amazing.
[00:17:46] Speaker A: And it's a. That solidly held them to three. I think people need to realize because they'll see Caleb Williams went out and they'll be like oh well they didn't have their starter. They had their starter for like three full quarters and they only scored three points.
They clearly were having a hard time 100% so.
[00:18:02] Speaker B: And you saw what they did to the packers in the first game. And the packers are not a slouch of an offense. They're. They're competitive offense with a bunch of weapons and for a lot of the game they were getting it working. But down the stretch Flores dialed up the blitzes and all. All kinds of different pressures. Totally stymied the packers and it was, it was a thing to watch. And the packers do look like they did not actually bring an offensive line to this season. But that's another conversation. The Vikings, I think an interesting team and making this division even more interesting than we thought it would be.
[00:18:39] Speaker A: I know it's. It's still early obviously two weeks in, I mean we don't really know any team yet.
I feel like the first couple weeks you're always going to be a little inconsistent.
[00:18:49] Speaker B: But to see them at the top, to see the Vikings 2, 0 leading the division with everybody else at 1 and 1.
[00:18:54] Speaker A: Yeah, I don't think people would have put them there. I think people would have probably put the, the packers up there first because I think a lot of people had them beating the Vikings. But.
[00:19:04] Speaker B: Right, right.
[00:19:05] Speaker A: It's an interesting one. What about the Chargers? He also says chargers with McDaniels look weird.
[00:19:11] Speaker B: Okay. That's the way to put it.
[00:19:13] Speaker A: That's a nice way of putting bad.
[00:19:15] Speaker B: Right.
[00:19:16] Speaker A: Is that. Do you think that's more Justin Herbert or do you think that's McDaniels coaching or a whole team thing?
[00:19:26] Speaker B: You know, I haven't been grinding the Chargers tape, I gotta confess. But I'm.
I'm a little vexed. I'm a little confused.
[00:19:34] Speaker A: They lost against two bad teams. Yeah, Arizona and Raiders. No offense to anybody who might be a fan.
[00:19:40] Speaker B: Right.
[00:19:41] Speaker A: But it's not like they are ultra competitive.
These are two bottom tier teams and you're a playoff team from last year.
All you did was add. Yeah, you should be better than this.
[00:19:54] Speaker B: How did you get worse? Yeah, I'm a little perplexed.
[00:19:58] Speaker A: They're barely doing anything on offense. It's really strange.
And their defense which was actually quite stout last year.
[00:20:07] Speaker B: Right.
[00:20:07] Speaker A: Is also struggling.
So I'm not entirely sure what is going on over there. Who is and two game sample size. I know, I know. I just said like oh, we don't really know but like two games in a row of like poor play, same
[00:20:24] Speaker B: result over what I think is a similar caliber opponent.
[00:20:27] Speaker A: Right. Against poor teams. It's like that's not what people want to see though.
[00:20:33] Speaker B: They weren't on my list of like teams that changed dramatically over the off season.
[00:20:37] Speaker A: Right.
[00:20:39] Speaker B: What's the difference here?
[00:20:40] Speaker A: Yeah, a lot of the key.
[00:20:41] Speaker B: They're still trying on Labakonki and. And oh, did they ship the Bosa brother, Joey Bosa? Didn't he leave?
[00:20:49] Speaker A: Yes. Was he on Buffalo?
[00:20:51] Speaker B: I thought he did go to Buffalo.
[00:20:54] Speaker A: Yeah.
[00:20:54] Speaker B: But Khalil Mac, last I checked was still roster on the Chargers anyway. A similar roster. So what's going on here? Got a new OC and everything. Oh, and they lost their D.C. jesse Minter is now coaching the Ravens as well.
[00:21:07] Speaker A: This is true. Which is going just about as well as I guess that maybe slightly better. They at least won a game.
[00:21:13] Speaker B: Yeah, maybe. Yeah. This maybe a different conversation starting going from a DC to a head coach. But the Chargers did lose. Did change both coordinator positions and both seem worse.
[00:21:25] Speaker A: Which is weird though because they got probably one of the high like the most highly coveted OC that you was on the market with McDaniels.
[00:21:34] Speaker B: True.
[00:21:35] Speaker A: I mean and to McDaniel's credit, his offenses that he has coached have generally been pretty good.
[00:21:44] Speaker B: Yeah. It's his calling card.
[00:21:45] Speaker A: So the fact that he gets away from head coach. He could only focus on this.
And Justin Herbert somehow looks worse.
I don't understand that.
[00:21:56] Speaker B: I don't know.
[00:21:56] Speaker A: Now maybe it's Herbert. I don't know. I, I, you're right. I, I haven't watched a lot of Chargers, but they shouldn't be 02 going
[00:22:04] Speaker B: into this off season with McDaniel as a coaching candidate.
[00:22:09] Speaker A: You,
[00:22:11] Speaker B: you expressed interest in the thought of like the Lions hiring.
[00:22:16] Speaker A: I wanted them to hire him. I was hyped.
I probably still would be hyped. I still, I don't want to close the door. This thing, this is, this is a confession.
[00:22:27] Speaker B: Okay.
[00:22:27] Speaker A: I don't want to close the door on either LA team.
[00:22:30] Speaker B: Right.
[00:22:31] Speaker A: I don't know why. I mean I know why I like the Rams. That's a very obvious thing.
[00:22:34] Speaker B: Yeah. Devonte Adams.
[00:22:37] Speaker A: Yeah. Former Packer.
[00:22:39] Speaker B: I still love him.
[00:22:41] Speaker A: Exactly what I want. Actually. The Rams, I think, in general, are just a very likable team. A lot of likable guys. Beside the point. The Chargers, I. I like their coaches more than their players.
[00:22:53] Speaker B: Okay.
[00:22:53] Speaker A: This is half the problem.
I like Harbaugh and I like McDaniels. And I want them to be good. Yeah. I want them to be good because I like them.
[00:23:02] Speaker B: Yeah. Yeah.
[00:23:03] Speaker A: I know that Harbaugh got robbed with the Niners.
[00:23:07] Speaker B: Yeah.
[00:23:07] Speaker A: He could have been there longer and maybe had more success.
[00:23:11] Speaker B: Sure.
[00:23:11] Speaker A: And then got ran out.
[00:23:12] Speaker B: Right.
[00:23:13] Speaker A: And I'm so happy he got his natty.
[00:23:16] Speaker B: Yeah.
[00:23:16] Speaker A: But I want to see him be more competitive than he is.
[00:23:22] Speaker B: Yeah.
[00:23:23] Speaker A: And it's a bummer because he's such a gem of a human being.
Anytime he opens his mouth, I love it.
[00:23:31] Speaker B: I know. I love when we have good characters.
[00:23:33] Speaker A: And that's why I also like McDaniels. Yeah. Anytime he opens his mouth, I'm just like, you funny guy.
You're kind of funny, but then it's, like, weird.
[00:23:42] Speaker B: Yeah.
[00:23:42] Speaker A: But this is the problem is, like, you know, you can't do those funny and goofy things and then produce these poor results.
[00:23:50] Speaker B: Right.
[00:23:51] Speaker A: You have to be better than this.
[00:23:52] Speaker B: Oh, yeah.
[00:23:53] Speaker A: This is a professional league. This ain't Ted Lasso. Like, we need something more.
So
[00:24:00] Speaker B: you're here to win games, not just amuse us and make us laugh.
[00:24:03] Speaker A: Right.
[00:24:04] Speaker B: Wow. Yes. I warned you not to get mixed up with the Chargers.
[00:24:07] Speaker A: I know.
[00:24:07] Speaker B: I flirted with them a couple years ago. We had a little. We had a little thing. I thought this was interesting. I quickly learned that that is a hot mess. Stay away.
[00:24:14] Speaker A: I like the color scheme, too. The powder blue is good color.
Small confession. I like it more than the Honolulu blue.
[00:24:22] Speaker B: Oh, really?
[00:24:22] Speaker A: I like lighter blue.
[00:24:24] Speaker B: Oh, okay.
[00:24:25] Speaker A: But, I mean, that's here nor there.
[00:24:28] Speaker B: I feel you. I feel you.
[00:24:29] Speaker A: Okay. The last thing that I have.
Although the Bills beat the Lions, Josh Allen is the best quarterback in NFL, which is okay. I mean, that's fair to make after two weeks.
[00:24:42] Speaker B: I'm not sure what rational person right now would say I'm taking a different guy. Yeah. Just to captain my team. Besides him. He looks like Superman right now. He can do no wrong. I mean, one thing I'll say about
[00:24:55] Speaker A: the Bills and Josh Allen, I feel like every year it's the same stuff.
They look. And this is. This is my personal opinion that I am instigating on the Bills, the Ravens, and the Chiefs is that. I know. While the Chiefs and the Ravens had a down year last year because of who their quarterback is I can never officially write them off and it's not noteworthy when they're good and Right. I expect them to be good. Right. I expect all three of those teams to be back in the playoffs.
[00:25:34] Speaker B: Yeah.
[00:25:35] Speaker A: I expect them to do more than what they have done. Like, you know.
[00:25:40] Speaker B: Yeah.
[00:25:41] Speaker A: I expect, I expect that it's news when they are bad and not just loot because they lost a game.
[00:25:48] Speaker B: Yeah. Yeah.
[00:25:49] Speaker A: Losing a game happens. No one's gonna be. It's not easy winning all, every single game, no matter who you lose to.
[00:25:55] Speaker B: 100%. Yeah.
[00:25:57] Speaker A: I only really want to ever talk about the Bills and the Ravens from this point. This is my own, my own rule that I'm putting for myself.
[00:26:05] Speaker B: Okay.
[00:26:06] Speaker A: That I'm not going to talk about the Bills, the Ravens or the Chiefs until it's playoffs and even then I'm not going to talk about the Bills or the Ravens until they freaking do something in the playoffs. Okay.
[00:26:18] Speaker B: Okay.
[00:26:18] Speaker A: If someone else brings them up, fine.
But I'm not going to bring them up anymore.
[00:26:23] Speaker B: I hear you.
[00:26:24] Speaker A: I, I talking about them. They're the same teams that they've always been. They're good. We know they're good now. Do something in the postseason.
[00:26:34] Speaker B: Yes.
[00:26:34] Speaker A: That's all I got to say about them.
[00:26:36] Speaker B: I know, I know. I, I totally relate to that. Like these are, these are some teams that like the once upon a time I've kind of become like intrigued by and this is the story of a little bit of my fandom is like, you know, I have my long term teams that I always love through thick and thin. But then there's a lot of others that just like based on the players and sometimes the coaches and just the story that's going on right now, I find I find myself like warming towards and becoming intrigued by and like there's been a few seasons in the past and presently where I'm like, oh, the Ravens. I like what's going on here. I've kind of like really like some of these players, Derek Henry have like real success after the career he's had would be so cool. And obviously seeing Lamar go a little bit farther, someone of his transcendent talent, like having the, the actual like winning success that it feels like he should have. When you can play at that level, all those sort of things would just be tremendous to see.
But then year after year when they just come short, like they're at their best, they look just like unbeatable sometimes just incredible, incredible. They get it together and like how did you put together such an outstanding team, and then somehow they just can't.
[00:27:52] Speaker A: And it's always something. It's always something, you know, Like, I think, like, oh, man, was the Bills peak when they went 13 seconds with Patrick Mahomes? Like, was that it?
[00:28:02] Speaker B: Right.
[00:28:03] Speaker A: Was that the best? Because I feel like that was the best we've ever seen. I don't even know if that was an AFC championship.
[00:28:07] Speaker B: No, I thought that was a divisional round.
[00:28:09] Speaker A: I think it was.
[00:28:09] Speaker B: Yeah.
[00:28:10] Speaker A: But I think that might still be one of the best playoff games I've ever watched.
[00:28:13] Speaker B: Yes.
[00:28:14] Speaker A: But it's just like, ah, I. You've got your MVPs. We know you guys can win.
[00:28:21] Speaker B: Yeah.
[00:28:21] Speaker A: You got to do something more now, though. Like, it's. There's not much to talk about unless you are finally in the Super Bowl.
[00:28:30] Speaker B: Right.
[00:28:30] Speaker A: I hope that for both Josh and Lamar.
[00:28:34] Speaker B: Yes.
[00:28:35] Speaker A: I think that would love. They would be electric in the Super Bowl. It'd be fun to see them there.
[00:28:45] Speaker B: I feel like those teams could. I mean, when they're playing at. When firing on all cylinders, like, they could hang. They could. I feel like they could crush any NFC opponent.
[00:28:54] Speaker A: Oh, their sky's the limit.
[00:28:55] Speaker B: Yeah, totally.
It'd be incredible to see. And those are examples of careers and we've seen some in the past that would just be so tragic if they don't have an opportunity in their.
In their career to like, host that, hoist that trophy and bring a very
[00:29:09] Speaker A: least get to the game.
Yeah, Like, I can understand it's. It's hard to get there and it's hard to win. I mean, it's not like any other.
[00:29:18] Speaker B: Most do not.
[00:29:19] Speaker A: Yeah. It's not like any other sport where you get seven opportunities to win the series. You know, you get one shot, one opportunity.
[00:29:28] Speaker B: Right.
[00:29:29] Speaker A: You know, but it's true. NFL, I think, is fun in that way, in that it's hard to get there. And when a team can do it very consistently, I think it goes underappreciated how incredible that is.
[00:29:44] Speaker B: Yeah.
[00:29:45] Speaker A: That a team can go back to the super bowl three years in a row and keep winning.
[00:29:52] Speaker B: Yes.
[00:29:52] Speaker A: It's unheard of.
[00:29:53] Speaker B: Yes. Yes.
That speaks a lot to, like, decision makers at the top, I think, because when you, like, you have higher turnover, I think the. The bad teams and the great teams are the ones that have. Tend to have high turnover at important positions because, you know, your coordinators get poached away if you're winning and they get fired if you're losing.
And to be able to, like, consistently replace them with really good Fits and is a very difficult decision and recruiting issue and culture issue and good and fit planning strategy issue.
There's just so much that goes into those choices in which players you're building a franchise around and where you're spending money and where you're not.
To have sustained success speaks a lot to the top level decision making and only a few teams I think have really excelled in that area.
[00:30:50] Speaker A: Yeah. And the Chiefs, I mean they're a really good example of like especially in modern football right now, of just that sustained success. I mean they brought back Eric B. Enemy.
That offense looks like it's back.
They look, they look so much more competent than they have the last like two years.
[00:31:10] Speaker B: It does. Yep. So true.
[00:31:12] Speaker A: And Mike, I was watching them and even though it was a tight game against the Colts, I was like, they look good.
They look good. And I like when teams like the Chiefs exist.
I know it's like an un, it's like an unpopular thing, like, oh, I'm so tired of the Patriots. I'm so tired of the Chiefs.
[00:31:32] Speaker B: Yeah.
[00:31:33] Speaker A: But man, they put on a show, right? And when I'm watching football, I want to watch, I want to watch teams like that.
Yeah, I, of course we all want to watch like our team be that. Like that.
[00:31:46] Speaker B: Right, right.
[00:31:47] Speaker A: But yeah, I just, yeah, it's kind
[00:31:51] Speaker B: of interesting that like these dynastic runs and these teams that kind of sustain success. So like I don't know how much you followed the NBA, but that that sport has trended much more towards.
What's the best way to put it, like against that sort of one hit wonders.
I don't know that I say one hit wonders the best way. But more over history like, yeah, the diversity of the winners has dramatically increased very consistently each decade. Basically there have been a greater, pretty much an increased number of teams winning championships. There's the same number of years, but more teams represented. And you know, like if you look back in the past, it's like the Celtics won it every year and then it was like the Celtics and the Lakers and stuff like that. And then in the 90s it was mostly like it was the Pistons and then it was the Bulls and the Rockets. Three teams won all of them. And then in the early 22 thousands we saw a few different teams represented. And now the NBA is on an unprecedented run of like eight straight years with no repeats. That's zero.
[00:33:10] Speaker A: That's good.
[00:33:11] Speaker B: No repeats. The same team. It is very exciting. You get this sense that like any team could do it. And how long can this Go on.
I mean, obviously, it could only. There's only 30 teams, so it's every
[00:33:23] Speaker A: 30 years at the very least.
[00:33:27] Speaker B: So there's 22 more waiting, like, when's our chance? But it's. It is wild to see that, like, a lot of these teams are perennially good. You know, the spurs are just always good, and many other teams like that. But somehow a different team wins the title every year.
And I don't think the NFL is quite at that level, but the NBA has definitely, like, made changes, and some of these are. Are sort of, like, designed changes about the rules and how cap works and how the draft works and contracts and all these. And rules that govern the league that have created greater parody, maybe, is a word that I've been looking for.
And I don't know, for better or worse, it's made that sport very interesting to just feel like it could be anybody.
[00:34:15] Speaker A: I feel like with football, it's so much harder to take a bad team and make it good, because typically, you have to.
You gotta field 11 players competitively on both sides of the ball.
[00:34:36] Speaker B: Yeah.
[00:34:37] Speaker A: And then you need depth because eventually someone's going to get hurt.
[00:34:43] Speaker B: True.
[00:34:44] Speaker A: And you can't be so.
And because of just, like, the physicality of the sport, I just think it's so much harder for a team to dig themselves, like, out of the trenches, so to speak, and build an actual good team. It can obviously be done. We've seen. It has been done. But it's not quick.
[00:35:06] Speaker B: Yeah.
[00:35:06] Speaker A: And it's. It can get derailed very easily. I think the Browns are a really good example of a team that was rebuilding and was doing a good job. They were becoming an example of, like, this is what you need to do to rebuild your team. Because they were bringing in. They had Miles Garrett, they had Baker Mayfield. That team was like, oh, I remember, on the rise. And then they won a playoff game, and it was huge.
Yeah.
[00:35:37] Speaker B: Oh, didn't they have Odell Beckham as well at the time?
[00:35:40] Speaker A: They might have.
[00:35:41] Speaker B: I think they had, like, a receiver core that was, like, impressive. Yeah.
[00:35:46] Speaker A: Amari Cooper.
[00:35:47] Speaker B: Yes, they did. Yeah.
[00:35:48] Speaker A: So they. They had a team there for a bit, and then they.
[00:35:51] Speaker B: Oh, and the Michigan wide receiver. What was his name? Remember the guy from. Guy from Michigan. You know who I'm thinking of? You know who I'm talking about?
[00:35:58] Speaker A: No.
[00:35:59] Speaker B: Okay. Or what. Whatever. Anyway.
[00:36:01] Speaker A: But then they.
They blew it up in, like, one year.
They just gave away Baker, brought in desean, and it was. It's been a train wreck since, like, congrats, they won a game. Who cares? I don't really care.
Yeah. But like, it's so quickly. They lost that and now they're back down to a laughing stock, you know, and how many times have we seen a team go, you know, all the way to the top just to be.
[00:36:32] Speaker B: Yeah.
[00:36:33] Speaker A: Very quickly.
[00:36:34] Speaker B: Good sound effect.
[00:36:35] Speaker A: Right. So I just think. And I could be wrong. I'm not like a. I'm not a manager. Right. But I do feel like when I watch football, I can see because of how often they have injuries, how many players that they have to have. Like, you can have probably the greatest quarterback behind the worst O line, and they're not gonna. They're gonna have a hard time.
[00:36:55] Speaker B: Definitely.
[00:36:56] Speaker A: They're gonna have a really hard time.
[00:36:58] Speaker B: Very hard.
[00:36:59] Speaker A: You can have a great offense, but an absolute abysmal defense just drags your team to inconsistency.
The Bengals are like, a perfect example.
[00:37:09] Speaker B: Yep.
[00:37:09] Speaker A: Yeah. Of just, like, high flying offense.
[00:37:12] Speaker B: Yeah.
[00:37:13] Speaker A: Defense can't do anything.
[00:37:14] Speaker B: Yeah.
[00:37:14] Speaker A: You know, and I just think, yeah, it's so hard to be consistent in the NFL.
But then you have, like, organizations that. I'm just like. I don't know how you do it. Like, how.
How are the Chiefs consistently just there?
How. For that matter, how are the Bills consistently there? I don't even. I couldn't name half their team, but they're still so fricking good. And the new coaching staff, too. I'm just like, it's wild.
[00:37:47] Speaker B: It is.
[00:37:48] Speaker A: You know, and I obviously, you know, like, the packers are another really good example of a solid organization that's been pretty consistent for a vast majority of its time.
[00:37:58] Speaker B: True, True.
Yeah. Yeah.
It's all I got.
[00:38:02] Speaker A: That's all I got.
[00:38:02] Speaker B: That's all I got. All right. You want to play a game?
[00:38:04] Speaker A: Let's play a game.
[00:38:05] Speaker B: Okay. So I brought a segment this week that I want to do because I was thinking this might be fun. I've seen basically this game be played on other shows, so I'm kind of copycat, slightly varying it with my own amendment. Okay. This is a game. We're going to try and compete against each other. Even though I probably have a slight advantage because of a great quick glance. I have a slight advantage, but I think we'll still both be competitive on this.
[00:38:32] Speaker A: We can make it work.
[00:38:32] Speaker B: We can make it work. The game is you get a category, we generate a random number, and then we have to guess. We both have to guess something in that category that's going to be closest to that number in ranking.
[00:38:47] Speaker A: Okay. So let's do an example.
[00:38:49] Speaker B: For example, if I were to, maybe I'll use like a non, a football example. Like if I was, if I were to say, like a person in age and like pull a random number and it's 51. And you, you, we both have to guess a person who's that age, like a famous person. And you're like Paul Rudd and I'm like Tom Cruise. And we guess and we see, like, who's closer?
[00:39:18] Speaker A: 60 or something.
[00:39:19] Speaker B: Yeah, probably Paul Rudd's closer. And so whoever has the lower number, whoever's closer wins.
[00:39:25] Speaker A: Okay.
[00:39:26] Speaker B: And we keep track of the points. And it's like golf in the end. So this Mr. DeWitt will be into this. And you two, you want the lowest score at the end of this game.
[00:39:35] Speaker A: Okay.
[00:39:35] Speaker B: I would appreciate if you can you keep score, like with a piece of paper or document or something?
[00:39:40] Speaker A: Like, I can, I can, I can keep score on something.
[00:39:45] Speaker B: Okay. I, I, I will tell you how we do. So there are two numbers that we're going to run with one through 11. Because I have 11 categories, we don't need to get to them all. If this takes too long or it sucks, okay. But we will pick a random number and that determines which piece of paper I grab from my stack.
Then I will tell you what number we need to draw from because these don't all, these topics don't all have the same number of items.
And we will generate a random number from that list and then make our guesses.
[00:40:22] Speaker A: Okay?
[00:40:23] Speaker B: Okay.
All right. Number through 1. 1 through 11. Pick 1.
[00:40:28] Speaker A: 8.
It's my lucky number. And by lucky number, I don't really, it's just my favorite number.
[00:40:34] Speaker B: Okay, eight.
[00:40:37] Speaker A: Eight.
[00:40:37] Speaker B: Now we need, you can ask Siri if you want to. We need to generate a random number between 1 and 31 and 30. Okay. Ask Siri for a random number between 1 and 30.
[00:40:50] Speaker A: Hey, Siri. I don't actually use Siri, but I can do random number generator.
[00:40:57] Speaker B: Hey, Siri.
[00:40:58] Speaker A: Oh, wow, look at you go.
[00:40:59] Speaker B: Give me a random number between 1 and 30. 18.
Okay, that's our number 18.
So you need to guess.
Here's the category.
NFL stadiums ranked by seating capacity, most to least. You need to get the number that is closest to 18 in terms of seating capacity.
[00:41:24] Speaker A: So they're gonna be somewhere in the middle.
32 teams, they're pretty close to the middle. So they're not the biggest, but they're not the smallest.
[00:41:32] Speaker B: Again, there's only 30 stadiums.
So this isn't the biggest. This isn't the smallest.
So make a guess. And I'm going to guess, too.
[00:41:40] Speaker A: Dallas would probably be the biggest.
[00:41:42] Speaker B: So, okay.
[00:41:43] Speaker A: Newer, I think newer stadium.
I'm going to go Ford Field.
[00:41:48] Speaker B: Ford Field is your guess.
[00:41:50] Speaker A: Okay. Not a great guess. Everybody's.
[00:41:52] Speaker B: I think I'm going to. I'm get. I'm guessing.
Let's go.
Let's go. U.S. bank, Minnesota Vikings.
[00:42:03] Speaker A: Oh, new. That's new.
[00:42:04] Speaker B: That is new.
[00:42:05] Speaker A: Feel like new would be more.
[00:42:07] Speaker B: It might be, but I also think some of those older stadiums are also really big. Okay, I'm going to flip this page and reveal our numbers and we'll see who's closer. So you said Ford field. That is 26.
[00:42:19] Speaker A: That's not good.
[00:42:20] Speaker B: You were off by eight. I said U.S. bank, the Vikings Stadium, which is 21.
I was closer. I was three off.
[00:42:31] Speaker A: Three off. Wow. Yeah.
[00:42:32] Speaker B: So you were off by.
[00:42:33] Speaker A: So you get three points. I get eight points.
[00:42:35] Speaker B: Correct.
[00:42:36] Speaker A: Okay.
[00:42:37] Speaker B: Correct. All right. So you. You gotta record it.
Yep. All right. So you understand how the game is played.
[00:42:41] Speaker A: Yeah, I'm terrible at that.
[00:42:43] Speaker B: So that was a tricky one. All right, pick a number one through 11 for me for my next page.
[00:42:47] Speaker A: All right, we'll do number seven.
[00:42:52] Speaker B: In this case, there are 32.
[00:42:55] Speaker A: 32.
[00:42:56] Speaker B: Siri, give me a random number between 1 and 32.
[00:43:02] Speaker A: A random number between 1 and 32 is 31.
[00:43:06] Speaker B: 31 is the number that was drawn.
[00:43:08] Speaker A: It's not very random.
[00:43:09] Speaker B: Siri, this.
NFL owners ranked by net worth.
[00:43:15] Speaker A: Net worth. Oh, my God.
[00:43:18] Speaker B: Most to least.
So get as close as you can to 31.
[00:43:25] Speaker A: I feel like I might be able to get the last one, but that's the only one.
The. The. Oh, the guy of the. The Raiders. I'll say. Like, was it Davis?
[00:43:34] Speaker B: Al Davis? Al Davis, or is it Mark Davis?
[00:43:37] Speaker A: I think it's Mark as his son.
[00:43:38] Speaker B: Okay. Mark Davis.
[00:43:39] Speaker A: Davis. Yeah. Yeah.
[00:43:40] Speaker B: You're going Raiders, I think.
I think packers comes in at 32 on this because it doesn't have an owner at.
So 31.
I'm going to go with Raiders is a good guess.
I'm going. Oh, frick. What is. What team is this? I'll go Bengals.
[00:44:03] Speaker A: Oh, Brown.
[00:44:04] Speaker B: Yeah.
And let's see where we ended up.
The Las Vegas Raiders, Mark Davis are 23 on the list, worth 3.3 billion.
The Cincinnati Bengals are 21 on this list worth 5 billion. The Mike Brown and family.
[00:44:31] Speaker A: So what, you got 10 and then I got eight, I think.
[00:44:36] Speaker B: Correct.
[00:44:37] Speaker A: Okay. I'm still losing. I'm eight plus eight. I'm at 16. You're at 13.
[00:44:41] Speaker B: So understanding the rules of the game, getting in your flow.
[00:44:44] Speaker A: Yeah, yeah, yeah.
[00:44:46] Speaker B: All right.
[00:44:46] Speaker A: Who. So who was 31? Who was again?
[00:44:49] Speaker B: Oh, 31 is actually Art Rooney II. The Pittsburgh Steelers.
[00:44:54] Speaker A: Steelers.
[00:44:54] Speaker B: Only 1.2 billion.
[00:44:56] Speaker A: Wow.
[00:44:58] Speaker B: Yeah.
[00:44:59] Speaker A: Yeah. That sound impressive.
[00:45:00] Speaker B: I know, isn't it? Isn't that surprising some of those old families pick a number between one and 11.
[00:45:06] Speaker A: Let's go number one.
[00:45:11] Speaker B: Okay, here we go.
[00:45:13] Speaker A: This is a fun little game.
[00:45:15] Speaker B: Hey, Siri, give me a random number between 1 and 100.
[00:45:20] Speaker A: A random number between 1 and 100 is 23.
[00:45:24] Speaker B: 23. That's pretty high. The category top 100 regular season rushing yards leaders.
Who is 23 on this list? From most to least? Shut up, Siri.
[00:45:37] Speaker A: Siri, tell me. Shut up.
[00:45:41] Speaker B: Okay. Who in NFL history has the 23rd most single season rushing yards in their career?
[00:45:46] Speaker A: Quite high then.
[00:45:48] Speaker B: Quite high. You would say that, yeah. For sure. For sure.
[00:45:51] Speaker A: 23. But they're not like. They're good, but they're not like the top echelon. We're not talking like Barry Sanders types here.
[00:45:59] Speaker B: Well, I don't know how far berry
[00:46:01] Speaker A: off would be rushing leaders.
[00:46:03] Speaker B: Yes. Rushing yards, regular season, the course of their career.
[00:46:08] Speaker A: Over the course of their career.
[00:46:09] Speaker B: Yes. He's the all time leaders.
[00:46:12] Speaker A: Okay, Right.
[00:46:13] Speaker B: So you know who's number one, right?
All time leader.
[00:46:21] Speaker A: If I had. I mean, it's got to be somewhere like Emmett Smith or something.
[00:46:23] Speaker B: It is Emmett Smith. Yeah. He's all time. Yeah, right.
[00:46:27] Speaker A: Barry's very close to that. I'm pretty sure.
[00:46:29] Speaker B: Yeah, he's up there. Yep. Yep.
[00:46:30] Speaker A: That's top 10. We're not even in the top 10. We're in the top 23. 23. 23, man. What do we do if I guess a guy who's not even on the list? That's like way off.
[00:46:41] Speaker B: We'll just count it as. I say we count it as 100.
[00:46:44] Speaker A: Okay.
[00:46:45] Speaker B: Okay. I doubt you will.
[00:46:47] Speaker A: I don't know.
[00:46:48] Speaker B: This is a hundred guys. If you've been a starter running back for like four seasons, you're on this list.
[00:46:55] Speaker A: I mean, I was thinking like Reggie Bush.
[00:46:57] Speaker B: I'm sure he's on the list, but is he 23?
[00:47:00] Speaker A: I don't know. He was good, but was he that good?
[00:47:02] Speaker B: Like how many series seasons was he good?
[00:47:11] Speaker A: It's got to be some of the newer guys, like modern guys, maybe.
[00:47:17] Speaker B: I'm trying to think of what my guess should be.
I'm going to go with my guy, Marshall Falk.
[00:47:24] Speaker A: Whoa. That's a great.
I think. All right. Fine, I'll stick with Reggie Bush. That was, like, what my gut was telling me.
[00:47:31] Speaker B: All right, all right.
[00:47:32] Speaker A: Stick with Reggie.
[00:47:33] Speaker B: The potential for getting a lot of points is greater on a list of 100. Yeah, let's see if we can find Reggie Bush on this list.
[00:47:42] Speaker A: 23.
[00:47:43] Speaker B: So Reggie.
[00:47:45] Speaker A: Reggie, come on, man.
[00:47:46] Speaker B: Come on. Reggie. Where is he?
[00:47:49] Speaker A: He's got to be on this list.
He's clearly not 23.
[00:47:53] Speaker B: Okay, vamp for a second while I read all these.
Just say something so it's not too quiet.
[00:48:01] Speaker A: I mean, I guess I could.
I could also look it up because I'd be curious.
I was trying to think of, like, other guys, but his name is the only one that kept popping in my head.
I was like, he's not on that list. I can see you.
Top 100.
[00:48:20] Speaker B: I don't see him on this list.
[00:48:22] Speaker A: Rushers of all time.
[00:48:25] Speaker B: Yeah, I don't see Reggie Bush on this list.
[00:48:28] Speaker A: Am I missing NFL rush yards, career leader?
No, you're probably right.
[00:48:35] Speaker B: I'm not seeing any Reggie Bush.
And who did I say? Marshall Falk. Where is he?
[00:48:41] Speaker A: Gosh, he's number 13.
[00:48:44] Speaker B: Oh, 13. You're right. Dang.
[00:48:47] Speaker A: Lashawn McCoy.
[00:48:50] Speaker B: Whoa.
Lashawn McCoy. Yeah. Number 23 is Lashawn.
[00:48:54] Speaker A: So I got. I got a hundred. So that's.
Yeah, that's how many points I. I basically just lost the game.
[00:49:02] Speaker B: That is 77 or no, 87.
[00:49:06] Speaker A: 87. No, no, 77.
[00:49:08] Speaker B: 77. Right, right, right, right, right.
[00:49:09] Speaker A: And then you were 10 off.
[00:49:11] Speaker B: I was off by 10.
[00:49:12] Speaker A: That's. That's a tragic tale right there.
[00:49:15] Speaker B: You can still make up the difference.
[00:49:19] Speaker A: Reggie Burch. Really, really not on there.
[00:49:25] Speaker B: Number 100 on the list is Neil Anderson.
[00:49:29] Speaker A: Lamar Jackson's 83.
[00:49:31] Speaker B: Yeah.
[00:49:32] Speaker A: Holy cow.
[00:49:33] Speaker B: Yeah.
And we're in, like, the 6,000 career yards. Reggie Bush did not get over 6,030.
Oh, he's 130. Okay.
[00:49:44] Speaker A: I thought he was better than that.
[00:49:45] Speaker B: I know. I. I know.
[00:49:47] Speaker A: He was only active for 10 years.
[00:49:48] Speaker B: Pick another number between 1 and 11 that we haven't done yet.
[00:49:51] Speaker A: Oh, gosh. That was a disaster.
Let's go. 11.
[00:49:56] Speaker B: This one will be fun.
[00:49:57] Speaker A: I need to rock it here.
[00:50:00] Speaker B: Because you really do.
[00:50:01] Speaker A: I'm massively losing.
[00:50:02] Speaker B: Hey, Siri, give me a random number between 1 and 69.
[00:50:08] Speaker A: Nice. Random number between 1 and 69 is 66.
[00:50:12] Speaker B: 66.
This number.
This list is NFL regular season MVP winners by year going back 69 years.
[00:50:25] Speaker A: So we're talking.
[00:50:27] Speaker B: And this is ordered oldest to newest.
Okay, so this would be what was the Number that we said 60.
[00:50:38] Speaker A: 66.
[00:50:39] Speaker B: 66.
This would be three years ago.
[00:50:42] Speaker A: Three years ago.
[00:50:43] Speaker B: Three years ago.
[00:50:44] Speaker A: Well, last year was Matt Stafford.
The year prior to that was Josh Allen.
And then. Are we Lamar?
[00:50:55] Speaker B: Are we.
[00:50:57] Speaker A: I'm trying to think it's a quarterback.
[00:50:59] Speaker B: It is a quarterback, but.
Okay.
[00:51:02] Speaker A: Certainly not.
Three years ago was Eagles.
[00:51:11] Speaker B: Right.
[00:51:12] Speaker A: And then they played the Chiefs.
[00:51:14] Speaker B: Right.
[00:51:15] Speaker A: But I don't think is Lamar.
[00:51:19] Speaker B: Okay, I think you're right. It was Lamar. Patrick Mahomes. One recently, too, but I think it was the year prior. I think that was four years ago, if I remember right.
So this might be too easy, but I'm going Lamar Jackson. Now. I can't pick what you picked. I'm going to say Patrick Mahomes.
[00:51:35] Speaker A: Okay.
[00:51:36] Speaker B: Okay. So three years ago was Lamar Jackson.
[00:51:39] Speaker A: There we go.
[00:51:40] Speaker B: And I was right. Patrick Mahomes was four years ago.
[00:51:46] Speaker A: So plus one for you.
[00:51:48] Speaker B: Plus one for me.
[00:51:48] Speaker A: Come back.
[00:51:49] Speaker B: Yeah. You're gaining on me.
Okay. Okay.
[00:51:52] Speaker A: I had to think because I was like. Well, I'm pretty sure three years ago was the Eagles. That was the year we went 15 1. We were supposed to play them in the NFC Championship Game because we were going to go to that game. Oh, yeah. In Detroit. We were so ready to buy tickets for that game.
[00:52:05] Speaker B: Oh, yeah.
[00:52:06] Speaker A: And I was very hopeful that the Chiefs would get to the super bowl because I didn't want to play the Ravens that year because they were extremely talented and good.
[00:52:18] Speaker B: Oh, yeah. On both sides of the ball.
[00:52:20] Speaker A: Blew up in the AFC Championship Game.
[00:52:22] Speaker B: Right. Was that the year against the Bills, that really good game?
I want to say it was a really good.
[00:52:28] Speaker A: Well, they lost against Bills.
[00:52:29] Speaker B: Ravens.
[00:52:30] Speaker A: No, because I think the Ravens won that game.
[00:52:34] Speaker B: No, the Ravens didn't beat the Bills. There was a close matchup between the Bills. Ravens.
[00:52:38] Speaker A: There was a. But I think that was the year prior.
[00:52:40] Speaker B: Okay.
[00:52:41] Speaker A: The year that I'm thinking, I think the Ravens lost in the AFC Championship Game to the Chiefs.
[00:52:49] Speaker B: Oh, you're right. That was the Lions.
[00:52:52] Speaker A: NFC Championship year.
[00:52:54] Speaker B: NFC championship.
[00:52:55] Speaker A: Yes. That's what it was.
[00:52:56] Speaker B: Because those. Both of those games. Yes. Ravens lost to the Chiefs.
[00:52:59] Speaker A: That was the year prior.
[00:52:59] Speaker B: Lions lost to the Niners. Oh, I was heartbroken that weekend. I really wanted. I really liked both of the teams that lost. That's not special about that weekend anymore. Let's move on with that. You want to try another?
[00:53:10] Speaker A: Yeah. Yeah.
[00:53:11] Speaker B: Okay.
Pick a number.
[00:53:14] Speaker A: Have we done five?
I don't think we have.
[00:53:18] Speaker B: We've not done five. Okay.
All right.
Hey, Siri, pick a number. Random number between 1 and 100.
[00:53:30] Speaker A: Okay. I found this on the web.
[00:53:32] Speaker B: No, try again.
Hey, Siri, give me a random number between 1 and 100.
[00:53:39] Speaker A: A random number between 1 and 100 is 95.
[00:53:43] Speaker B: 95.
[00:53:44] Speaker A: Siri, your randomness is terrible.
[00:53:47] Speaker B: Okay, this list. NFL Top 100 Kickers by Points scored, most to least.
[00:53:57] Speaker A: This is near the top.
[00:53:59] Speaker B: This is the kicker who is 95th on the list.
[00:54:07] Speaker A: How many kickers can you possible.
[00:54:09] Speaker B: Can you think of? Right.
[00:54:11] Speaker A: Kickers sometimes surprise me with how many points they put up.
So this couldn't have been a guy with a long career? Well, probably an average career. Like a.
It can't be, because I feel like even like someone like Prater or Tucker would be too high on the list.
They're going to be way too high up there. Who is the Patriots guy for Military Venitari.
[00:54:38] Speaker B: Oh, yeah.
[00:54:39] Speaker A: He's got to be way up there.
[00:54:40] Speaker B: Yeah, he's probably number one.
[00:54:41] Speaker A: Yeah. Jason Hansen's probably going to be up there.
[00:54:44] Speaker B: Way too high. Way too high.
[00:54:46] Speaker A: So this is probably a kicker that was like, halfway decent, right?
Maybe still active.
[00:54:53] Speaker B: Yeah, yeah. Think of the act. Think of active guys.
Young. How cool. Or Matt Gay. Is he still active?
[00:55:01] Speaker A: Or Robbie Gold.
[00:55:02] Speaker B: Robbie Gold.
This is an option.
Daniel Carlson is an active kicker.
[00:55:10] Speaker A: Robbie Gold. I'm gonna go gold.
[00:55:12] Speaker B: Robbie Gold.
[00:55:12] Speaker A: I think Prater is more. I think Prater's gonna be quite high. He's had a long career.
[00:55:18] Speaker B: Yeah.
[00:55:18] Speaker A: Okay, but he's not like. Is he making a lot of. Like, this is.
[00:55:25] Speaker B: This is a lot of. This is a lot of Just longevity for their grade.
[00:55:30] Speaker A: Yeah, but, like, part of me doesn't want to go too long because then it's like, more points for the bit.
[00:55:35] Speaker B: I'm gonna pick my favorite kicker growing up. And that was Jason Hansen.
No, the. It was the little guy. The little guy for the Buccaneers.
[00:55:49] Speaker A: Whoa.
[00:55:50] Speaker B: Frick. Now. Now his name's escaping me. I'm having, like, a.
An old man moment where my brain doesn't work.
[00:56:04] Speaker A: You're looking him up? Yeah, I. I'll stick with Robbie Gold. Just for the lack of not knowing.
[00:56:10] Speaker B: Oh, I remember Martin Grammatica.
[00:56:13] Speaker A: Grammatica. What a name.
[00:56:15] Speaker B: Yeah. Yep, yep, yep, yep, yep, yep. I'm picking him. And you're. So you're sticking with Robbie Gold. All right, I'm gonna flip it.
[00:56:20] Speaker A: Okay.
[00:56:21] Speaker B: See who's closer. Let's go. Let's find Robbie Gold. Robbie Gold.
I'm looking.
You can talk.
[00:56:31] Speaker A: Probably not gonna be on there. Of course he's not gonna be on there.
I Thought for sure I did better, but it's like, what, NFL top 100 kicking year?
[00:56:43] Speaker B: He's 10th.
[00:56:44] Speaker A: Robbie Gold's 10.
[00:56:46] Speaker B: 10 all time, 1961 points.
[00:56:52] Speaker A: No.
[00:56:52] Speaker B: Yes.
It.
[00:56:56] Speaker A: Oh, my gosh. My perception of kickers is way off.
[00:56:59] Speaker B: Yeah.
[00:57:00] Speaker A: Venator's got to be number one then, right?
[00:57:01] Speaker B: Yes.
[00:57:02] Speaker A: Yeah.
[00:57:02] Speaker B: Yes.
[00:57:03] Speaker A: Where's Jason Hansen? He's got to be top five.
[00:57:05] Speaker B: He's number four. Oh, yeah.
Yeah, yeah.
Mason Crosby is 11.
Let's see.
[00:57:13] Speaker A: This was 95.
[00:57:15] Speaker B: Yep. Yep.
[00:57:15] Speaker A: Oh, my gosh, I can't win. I hope Grammatic is not even on. Wait, even you get. No, this is not fair because you get to 100, you're just gonna be, like, five points off.
[00:57:26] Speaker B: Oh, no, that's bad.
That's bad. We should. We should look up what his actual rank is. Yeah, he's not on the top 100.
[00:57:36] Speaker A: All right, well, now we have to look up where he is because I refuse to lose because I at least got on the list.
I was what, number 10.
I'm 80 off. 85 off. 75 off.
Math is not my strong suit. Off the top of my head, Robbie Gold, what are you doing to me? Me? Number 10, grammatica. I hope he's like, number 200. Put me back in this thing.
[00:58:01] Speaker B: Okay, let me see.
Point scored.
[00:58:09] Speaker A: I've never even heard of Mike Lansford.
What a name, by the way.
Michael Lanford. Some of these guys.
[00:58:23] Speaker B: He's. 133.
[00:58:25] Speaker A: 133.
[00:58:26] Speaker B: With a career spanning 1999 to 2008.
[00:58:29] Speaker A: Okay, so I was at. You still did better than me, stupid.
Okay, so 95. I got what? I was at number 10.
So I was 85 off and you were.
What number was he?
[00:58:47] Speaker B: 133.
[00:58:48] Speaker A: 133. Gosh, man. Even when I'm trying to rob you, I still lose.
[00:58:56] Speaker B: Yeah.
[00:58:57] Speaker A: All right. You got 38 points. This is a disaster.
[00:58:59] Speaker B: Okay, all right.
[00:59:00] Speaker A: Okay, let's do one more.
[00:59:02] Speaker B: Let's do one more. See if you can make a comeback here. All right, Pick a number.
[00:59:08] Speaker A: Number three.
[00:59:11] Speaker B: Okay, there we go.
Hey, Siri, give me a random number between 1 and 30.
[00:59:18] Speaker A: A random number between 1 and 30 is 24.
[00:59:22] Speaker B: 24. This list is testing your geography.
NFL stadiums nearest to Jackson, Michigan, where we are now.
[00:59:34] Speaker A: So this is the 24th furthest.
[00:59:36] Speaker B: The 24th closest. Closest, yes.
[00:59:39] Speaker A: Man, that's.
[00:59:40] Speaker B: So number one on this list would be.
[00:59:45] Speaker A: Fort Field.
[00:59:46] Speaker B: Fort Field. Thank you. Yeah. So just so you understand the exercise.
[00:59:49] Speaker A: Okay.
[00:59:49] Speaker B: Yeah, yeah. And number 24 would be.
What's your Guess number of miles.
What's pretty far away but not quite far away?
[01:00:03] Speaker A: Well, there's a lot over in the East Coast.
Yeah, there are over there.
[01:00:08] Speaker B: East Coast.
[01:00:09] Speaker A: Never eat. Yeah, East Coast. You got like New York teams. Philadelphia, Pittsburgh, Cleveland, Cincinnati. Like we're talking Eastern seaboard.
[01:00:19] Speaker B: Right.
[01:00:20] Speaker A: Like, right. The East.
[01:00:21] Speaker B: Okay. There are a lot over there.
[01:00:23] Speaker A: I. I'm tempted to go down to, like, Florida.
[01:00:29] Speaker B: Oh, like a Miami or something.
[01:00:31] Speaker A: Because of how many teams you actually have on the way down there.
[01:00:37] Speaker B: Okay.
[01:00:38] Speaker A: California, LA, NV. Like, that's too far.
[01:00:42] Speaker B: That is far. Right. But there's only 32, 24.
[01:00:46] Speaker A: There's only 32 teams.
[01:00:48] Speaker B: I know, but there's only 30 locations. So there's only going to be six stadiums. This isn't teams. This is stadiums.
[01:00:55] Speaker A: Oh, my gosh.
[01:00:56] Speaker B: There's only gonna be six that are farther.
[01:00:58] Speaker A: Well, this is why it's easier to figure out who the furthest ones are. So, like, probably Jacksonville is going to be pretty far.
Tampa's in the Panhandle. That's a good option. Denver's probably going to be pretty far.
[01:01:12] Speaker B: Tampa's not in the Panhandle. Tampa's further down on that.
[01:01:14] Speaker A: Tampa's for down.
[01:01:15] Speaker B: I thought.
[01:01:15] Speaker A: Who was in the Panhandle?
I thought somebody was.
[01:01:18] Speaker B: Nobody. Pensacola.
[01:01:22] Speaker A: Well, maybe not a Florida team. Yeah, maybe like a Saints team. Maybe like a Saints team. Ooh, that's not a half bad guess. I'm not saying Saints just yet.
[01:01:32] Speaker B: I think. I think you're going the wrong direction. I think we got to go west, young man.
[01:01:36] Speaker A: I. I don't know. Because you can't go too far west.
Seattle's going to be really far away.
The LA teams are going to be far away. San Fran, Vegas, Arizona.
Those are far away.
That's five teams. I would not count analys. I think that's too far away.
[01:01:55] Speaker B: I feel. I'm feeling Vegas.
[01:01:57] Speaker A: You think Vegas?
[01:01:58] Speaker B: I'm feeling Vegas because I think that there's six that are farther.
I'm thinking like a Denver or a Minnesota.
[01:02:07] Speaker A: Denver. No, no.
[01:02:08] Speaker B: Minnesota's gonna be way closer, like Houston or Dallas.
[01:02:12] Speaker A: Maybe a Texas team is up there.
[01:02:14] Speaker B: Those would be farther than New Orleans.
[01:02:20] Speaker A: The west coast teams are going to be the furthest away.
[01:02:23] Speaker B: Correct.
[01:02:24] Speaker A: But that's a lot of west coast teams. That's Seattle. I got Arizona over there. I got San Fran.
I have la.
I would put Raiders. They're not that far away over there.
[01:02:40] Speaker B: Okay, okay. Okay. I might be off, but I want you to.
[01:02:42] Speaker A: I'll say Denver.
[01:02:43] Speaker B: Okay.
This is for the 24th. I think number 24 is Denver.
[01:02:50] Speaker A: Oh, yeah.
[01:02:51] Speaker B: There you go.
There you go.
[01:02:54] Speaker A: Oh, I feel so good.
[01:02:55] Speaker B: Wow.
Yes. Empower field at mile high. Denver Broncos 1086 miles from here, Allegiant Stadium. My guest, the Las Vegas Raiders is number 27. So I was off by three.
[01:03:09] Speaker A: You still beat me then.
[01:03:11] Speaker B: Somehow this doesn't make sense to me. But the Arizona Cardinals stadium is closer than the Raiders stadium.
I am a little perplexed by that. And actually the Dolphins isn't a bad guess. Actually, the Dolphins stadium is farther than Denver.
That shocks me.
[01:03:29] Speaker A: I was, I was very close to going down to Florida or Texas.
Where was. Where was the Saints? I'm kind of curious because I was. They were high in my list.
[01:03:39] Speaker B: 20, 26 miles. Yes, yes. But both Texas teams are farther. And Tampa Bay is farther, but Jacksonville is closer.
Yeah.
Interesting, interesting.
[01:03:51] Speaker A: I feel even though I may have
[01:03:54] Speaker B: lost this game, you nailed one.
[01:03:56] Speaker A: I perfectly felt like I logic my way into that one and I felt good. The other ones, I. That was pure guessing. I don't think anybody could have done better than me.
You're 65 points is cheating, right?
[01:04:13] Speaker B: It's only 85 buff.
Right? That's good. Robbie Gold is a good, a solid choice.
[01:04:18] Speaker A: Oh, apparently it was a terrible choice. I was just like, what?
I don't know why, I just thought he was like not as prolific as he was.
[01:04:28] Speaker B: Yeah, I have. Some of these kickers are just sneaky, like having long careers.
[01:04:33] Speaker A: Yeah. For reference, Kyle had 65 points, I had 178.
[01:04:37] Speaker B: Wow.
[01:04:37] Speaker A: The. The Robbie Gold one? Actually, no. And the Reggie Bush.
[01:04:41] Speaker B: The Reggie Bush ones. Reggie Bush was that one. Do you want to know the categories we didn't get to.
[01:04:46] Speaker A: Yeah, you can tell me the categories.
[01:04:47] Speaker B: Okay. I. I also have super bowl losing teams by year.
So we get a year in the super bowl era and you have to say the losing team.
We have NFL teams ranked by playoff victories, most to least.
We have NFL top 100 all time passing yards leaders. A classic hundred.
We have super bowl halftime performers by year.
So you get a year, you guess the performer.
[01:05:19] Speaker A: That would have been hard the further we went back.
[01:05:21] Speaker B: Very hard. Most of them are not contemporary artists. That list might also not work.
[01:05:26] Speaker A: It would have been like a marching band.
[01:05:28] Speaker B: And then we have regular season receiving yard leaders top 100.
[01:05:32] Speaker A: I know.
I'm pretty sure you can confirm this.
[01:05:37] Speaker B: Yeah.
[01:05:39] Speaker A: Michael Jackson was I think the first like real main stage performer for a halftime show.
[01:05:47] Speaker B: I think he did kind of like.
[01:05:49] Speaker A: Well, he was like this. He was not the first. I Understand that. But he was like the.
The newer version of the halftime show.
[01:05:58] Speaker B: Yeah, kind of. I. I think he played a very pivotal role in making it the. The spectacle that it is.
[01:06:05] Speaker A: Yeah. And then there was, like, one of the first ones was, like. I mean, it was like, marching bands, right?
[01:06:11] Speaker B: Correct. University of Michigan was one of them. List.
[01:06:14] Speaker A: And then they had, like, a winter wonderland type thing.
[01:06:16] Speaker B: Ella Fitzgerald did one, like, way back in the early. In the early days. And anyway, anyway, those are it.
[01:06:23] Speaker A: I.
I liked that.
[01:06:26] Speaker B: So we can revisit this game anytime, because obviously, each time we play, a different number will be generated. You got to come up with a better guess.
[01:06:32] Speaker A: Those are great.
[01:06:33] Speaker B: Feel free to play along at home, folks. Tell us how you did. I want you to write in to show. If you're listening to this, I want you to write in and say, what were your guesses? What name came to your mind when you were guessing along with us? Because we took a long time with our answers. You had time to think of something you did better than Marshall Falk or Reggie Bush.
[01:06:52] Speaker A: Marshall Falk was great. That's a great poll.
[01:06:56] Speaker B: Well, I feel like I could have done better. I could have got in the 20s with rushing leaders, but, see, now I'm
[01:07:01] Speaker A: going to go home and, like, start memorizing.
[01:07:04] Speaker B: We should. Let's make this competitive in the future. Like, we're gonna get.
We're gonna get way better scores in the future, and I'm also gonna come up with a few other categories. So right into the show. Tell us other categories you'd like to hear and tell us what your guesses were. Did you beat us? I want to know.
Anyway.
[01:07:21] Speaker A: Anyways, we got another week of games coming up. I don't know. We didn't talk about our locks and picks last year.
[01:07:27] Speaker B: Right.
[01:07:27] Speaker A: Anything to.
[01:07:28] Speaker B: I don't. I don't have anything to.
[01:07:30] Speaker A: Okay. We have been doing the picks.
[01:07:31] Speaker B: We're doing them. We're being accountable to each other.
[01:07:34] Speaker A: We're keeping track still. So that hasn't gone away. We'll do an update once we get Marshall back. Yeah. On how the scores are going on that end.
[01:07:41] Speaker B: I haven't looked anyway. It's been a great episode. Let's cheers. Get to the thing.
[01:07:49] Speaker A: Yeah, there we go. And then we got to do the thing where we talk over.
[01:07:51] Speaker B: Oh, yeah. What are we supposed to say? We're supposed to, like.
[01:07:54] Speaker A: Like, subscribe.
Smash it.
[01:07:57] Speaker B: Oh, yeah. Do that thing where you share this episode with people so more people listen. It could become more of, like, a communal experience. Experience with other people throwing in their takes.
[01:08:06] Speaker A: Why don't you write in more?
[01:08:08] Speaker B: We heard a lot from Tim DeWitt on this episode. It was wonderful. Tim DeWitt is a great person with interesting takes. Like, is the Vikings defense for real?
[01:08:17] Speaker A: We would also officially like to apologize for anyone that has written in, but we didn't get to your takes for various reasons that they just didn't find their way to us, just to me and Kyle.
[01:08:26] Speaker B: Right.
[01:08:27] Speaker A: We apologize for that.
[01:08:28] Speaker B: We do apologize to you and to all the listeners for everything that. That we failed and got wrong on this show. But you'll hear more from us next week.
[01:08:35] Speaker A: Goodbye.
